    Always a great eating experience. Took friends for first time today and they were impressed! 2 roasts and 2 catch of the day - all excellent. Presentation impressive and food tasty and generous portions. Thoroughly recommend!

    We only booked about 40 minutes prior to our dining time, and was very pleasantly surprised that they had availability at short notice. The restaurant was very busy, so though we were seated immediately, it did take a little time to order and receive the food - however, it was an incredible Sunday Roast, and well worth the wait! The meats were very tender and moist, the nut roast was very good and there was a great variety of vegetables - all servings were a very good size and served with plenty of gravy.

    It was our first experience of dining here, and it certainly won’t be the last, we had a mixed seafood sharing platter and a roast considering there was 4 of us the bill was very reasonable and the I have to say one of the best roast dinners we’ve had. The seafood platter was amazing and could eat that all day long. Highly recommended

    Visited early New Years Eve, waited for nearly an hour before food arrived, had to remind them I was having a starter, which they promptly brought and apologised, my partner was given his mains whilst I had my starter which was delicious, my mains was good but the chicken although plenty was a little dry, I am assuming because it was kept warm. It did appear to me that everyone in the restaurant were waiting a very long time for their food too. I arrived at 7.30 there appeared to be no one else arriving after this time, not sure why the food took so long to arrive and I was given no reason. But saying all that, the staff were lovely the food was good, so not complaining just giving my experience, and yes I would go again

    Fantastic service and excellent breakfast! Everything was hot, delicious and from great quality! We have been numerous times and never been disappointed!

    Was expecting Christmas lunch only to be told it had to be preordered. Nothing at all about this on booking form. Staff agreed there was nothing to show this had to be pre booked.,this was very disappointing and when we ordered two starters and two main both the same we were disappointed to receive one starter and one main only. This was put right after a wait and although staff were very amicable it was not what we had expected .

    From booking to the end of our visit, everything went very well. On arrival, we were shown to our table, which was by the window. We had a lovely view across the bay. Our waitress took our order for drinks and food fairly promptly as there weren’t many diners in the restaurant at the time. The restaurant gradually filled up and we were pleased we had arrived early We chose the roast beef and all the trimmings and when it arrived there was plenty of food and it was well cooked. We enjoyed our meal and our visit very much

    We had a meet up with our grandchildren yesterday . The meal was lovely, with us all having something different. All the meals arrived together, fresh, well prepared and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive. Lovely experience from start to finish! Hugh recommended!
