This Chef curated 7-course Tasting menu takes you on a culinary experience of discovery. With a mix of shared plates to composed dishes with maybe a surprise or two, our menu is creatively designed to challenge traditional new years eve menus. With the options of a reserve list wine pairing or allow our mixologists to join in on the evening with a one of a kind cocktail pairing. This is an exclusive dining event. The Chef's table is a 7-course blind Tasting Menu, composed of the best of the season. These are ring side seats right in front of the Kitchen where you will get to see and experience the stress, pressure and rapid fire execution of how a fast-paced restaurant engine runs. Great restaurant. Food was delicious. I have been a few times now. Love the atmosphere . My short rib was a little dry but the flavor was really good. The service this time was a bit slow . Unfortunately we had to ask our server to come for things she forgot. I would still recommend The Standard.

In Hamilton for work and this restaurant was recommended. Had a fabulous time, food was so incredible, with their own flair . Dr is also unique and delicious. Highly recommend

Had a fantastic birthday brunch for a friend today! The food selection was super! The food was tasty, the coffee was great and the mimosa selection was a nice surprise! Our server, Kate, was so friendly and sweet! We loved our experience and will go back!

Wonderful food and courteous service. We loved the unique dishes, flavours and flavour combinations. The experience was 3+ hours for a busy Saturday night so make your plans accordingly. We will definitely be back.

Had the Chef’s Table - “Surprise Menu” paired with Cocktails. It was great! Some very creative and tasty dishes, and thoughtful and tasty cocktails. Some of the dishes were knock outs, so good, as well as the cocktails. Price / Value was on the higher side - but the experience, attention to detail, service , food and drink quality , and bespoke experience justify it. I recommend for a special dinner out . ;)

The restaurant staff and food were very good. The variety of items on the menu were interesting and not your usual Brunch list, which I appreciated. Two negatives (one controllable by the restaurant and one not); when we arrived for our 10:30 am reservation I was informed by the host that there was another reservation for our table at 12:30 and we would have to be finished by then. It was a negative first impression ( we hadn’t even sat down and yet I was being told when we had to leave). As it was we had completed our meal by 11:50 so plenty of time, but the restaurant was maybe half full and there were other tables which could accommodate six people (the size of my party). I don’t think the ‘caution’ was necessary. The other negative is the number of homeless people on the streets of downtown Hamilton. I am fully supportive of helping people who are experiencing challenges and do so in my own community. However, there was a discomfort from the large number of people who were wandering the streets and obviously felt in distress. That negative experience would deter me from coming back to Hamilton and frequenting some of the amazing restaurants.
