   Food arrived quickly and hot! They do appear to be short staffed but we were not hindered so much by this. However it wasn’t a busy time so who knows if the place was full! Overall a good experience

   We arrived at the time offered by the open table booking only to be told by staff that the kitchen was closed. Very disappointed that the restaurants tied booking system are obviously not aligned. A very poor customer experience

   Eaten there twice previously. Third and most definitely the last. Food served cold ( except cauliflower cheese served separately) Potatoes as black as coal. Like rubber, to cut. Vegetables over cooked , soggy —— Cold Waste of money. Should have walked out. ( as others did I noticed) Two servers , dead loss. Save your money, you work hard for it.

   I took my mum and daughter to The Standard and the food was amazing. I was very impressed by the service, our waiter was very friendly and professional. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit. We were 3 very happy customers.

   Terrible smell of sewage in the restaurant- food was warm, we had a roast and the potatoes tasted like they’d been sitting for a while and then reheated - the Lamb was very nice but everything else was pretty poor to be fair - shame as the last time we went we couldn’t fault it, disappointing!

   Last minute booking for a meal pre-theatre so restaurant was fairly quiet. Food was lovely & served quickly. Will definitely go back for a longer meal/cocktails at some point.

   Great food. Service was quite slow & quite funny. I think the waiter was in her own world. Atmosphere was ok.

   This was our first time eating here after hearing good things about it. It's lively and buzzy, but not overly so. We arrived and were seated. 15 minutes later our server came over and apologised profusely that we had waited so long. She offered us drinks on the house - we had cocktails. The food was outstanding, freshly cooked, huge portions and delicious. We were then offered another cocktail on the house by way of apology. What can I say? A (small) mistake was made and a huge apology was given. We will definitely go back.

    Fantastic Sunday roast. 10/10 Went with 2 friends for the Sunday roast. Would recommend
