Fine dining in a historic brick-and-wood setting with soaring ceilings and windows. Featuring hand-cut USDA prime and dry-aged steaks selected just for us. Poultry, fish, game and vegetarian dishes are offered alongside a full bar serving classic and contemporary cocktails. Enjoy the cozy ambiance of our lounge with fireplace and try out our lounge plates on Lounge Thursday, where most of our lounge offerings are $10! An a la carte menu is also offered. Live piano accompaniment Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with jazz bands performing on Wednesdays.

    I never write reviews but was compelled to write this one. After being recommended by someone, I took my wife on a date night to Sycamore. What a terrible experience. We walked out 15minutes after being seated. Waiter didn’t come to table for a good10 minutes. Restaurant was pretty empty. Then he proceeded to tell us that 3-4 of the menu items (on a very short menu) were not available. Said it was because it was their first day open after the holidays. Why open then, if you are not prepared? He then went into a whole explanation about their farm to table style and how they serve in season foods and gave examples like root vegetables in the winter and heirloom tomatoes in the summer. We then asked him why there were heirloom tomatoes on the menu now in January. That stumped him. He clearly didn’t know the menu. We never ate and just left. First impressions are important. Especially at a restaurant that wants to be high end with $40-50 entrees. Says a lot about the ownership! Don’t recommend

    Food and service were excellent. Only downfall was that the $35 extra wine pairing advertised was not true and the music started at 6:00 so we did not get to enjoy it since our reservations were for 5:00 pm.

    This is one of our favorites in Chatham County but I was disappointed tonight. Our service was below average, spotty, and not what The Sycamore typically provides. That makes a huge difference maker when choosing a restaurant.

    Beautiful restraint, sophisticated but yet with the charm of a by-gone era. Excellent menu, including very good wine selection and cocktails. Professional waitstaff, with thorough knowledge of the ever changing menu. Last, but not least, the jazz is the cherry on top! One of my favorites indeed!

    Everything about The Sycamore is outstanding. The appetizers are very unique and not something you can order just anywhere.

    The Sycamore combines the quality of a white-tablecloth restaurant with a very welcoming dining room and bar. We enjoy eating at the bar and having extended meals at a table. The service is very strong here, and the food is worthy of any special meal you plan.
