Normally I would give a much better rating as I have been here many, times and in the past it was a lot better. The service from the servers is always terrific! I bring many people here as a treat with the afternoon high tea. The dessert was better this time with different mini cakes. Where it really disappointed this time only was the savoury food and value for money, meaning where is the protein they served a few very inexpensive tiny sandwiches egg, beetroot, beans on toast? …and the last one red pepper and goat cheese (two of them were extremely spicy) please warn your customers as when I inquired they said one had a hallopenio pepper. The other area that lets down is twice now I have been sat where servers come in and out I feel in the way, the seating is way too jammed in, it takes away for the atmosphere.By the way I did mention about the spiciness to the server who offered 1 more egg sandwich which was so ridiculous small, for the first time leaving here I actually felt hungry. Again normally things are a bit better I feel bad even to mention but people need to communicate for things to hopefully improve in the future.

I’m sorry food and dessert was horrible. It was dry and tasted bad. Scones were dry. Place is beautiful inside. Service was amazing! Bottomless mimosas were mainly juice.

Afternoon tea was fabulous and so beautifully presented! Had the best time with my aunt and 2 sisters for a joint birthday celebration. Accommodated my gluten free allergies so kindly and the special touches with the flowers 🌸 everywhere! Even on the tower. We will be back for Valentine’s Day!

Was a little disappointed with the high tea here. We ordered high tea from here before during the pandemic and it was so lovely that we were excited to go in person. The sandwiches were simple and the desserts were all different types of cake with frosting and sprinkles. Also there was so whip cream or clotted cream with the scones, just one strawberry jam. I’ve never had high tea without a second cream component with scones. It was very simple and pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I don’t think I can recommend that experience anymore.

Celebrated my daughters birthday and loved afternoon tea here - so much fun and eclectic with the space. Fabulous service too. Highly recommend the mint chocolate and English toffee latte.

I’ve gone to vanitea several times over the years and it’s typically been one of my top spots but my recent experience was unfortunately different. The restaurant was chilly, the portions were small, the food quality went down and the experience no longer felt worth the price. Not sure if it’s new owners or chefs but it was disappointing given the beautiful space and kind staff.

Lovely service and ambience but the food was very dry and the overly sweet deserts (as someone with a sweet tooth) dominated the tiers. I would have liked some cream (clotted or not) with the scones.

Second time at vanitea and still pleased by all the gluten free and vegan options available for brunch. As a celiac guest and now gluten free intolerant I was ecstatic to see gluten free available for brunch on bread with my beef Benedict. Thank you for a safe space to eat and yummy lattes!

The afternoon tea at VANITEA is a must to try. The service is A1 and the food is delicious and you really get enough that you can't even finish all the bites. I was there for my aunts 60th birthday. When I made the reservation, I asked for a little dessert saying “Happy birthday !” and a candle over one of the pastries, they went further and they gave us 4 more pastries on a little bird cage on which they wrote the message with piping gel. It was awesome.
