Located in the original bank vault of the historic 555 California St building on the Concourse Level, The Vault Steakhouse offers indoor dining, a lounge and bar with an extensive cocktail, whiskey and wine program for a special occasion, business function, and date night - all in one place. Chefs Ryan Cerizo & Jason Halverson have collaborated to take all of the things we love about Steakhouse dining and elevate it with simple, delicious, modern day touches.

Celebrated NYE at the Vault. It was $185 prefix menu with an option to upgrade to a steak. We were told they sold out of steak after we ordered it and ordered wine to go with it. The food either had no flavor and/or was cold. The lobster bisque was water downed. The sea scallops had no flavor and the sauce was watered down with no flavor. The service wasn’t that great and should be trained for a higher end steak restaurant. The meal and atmosphere wasn’t valued at $185.

We had dinner here on New Years Eve and enjoyed the pre fixe menu. The yellow fin tuna was outstanding as was seafood platter and steak. The lobster bisque was flavorless however and the baked Alaska was meh. We were also very disappointed in the service level. Our server was inexperienced and it showed. The ancillary wait staff made up for it though. The vibe felt impersonal and as though the wait staff was pained to be there. The exception was management and Johnnie. Johnnie was the warm part we expected from a high end dinner.

It was nice but I thought I would be more wow by the food. The drinks were the best part of the night 100%

How does a steak house have a pre-fix menu on Christmas and not offer steak as a main course choice. It was a $27 dollar up charge to make steak a choice. Your creamed spinach was HORRIBLE. Bluefin tuna cornet all you tasted was the sweet ice cream cone. The pave tots were a joke they were cold and tasted like plain boiled potatoe. Chocolate mouse was probably made three weeks in advance and the bottom cake part was like the bottom of my black dress shoes stiff. The steak was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Ceasar salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. Baked Alaskan was great but then again my 9 year old daughter can make that with her eyes closed. I don’t mind paying for a good meal but it all better be on point.

This was an excellent choice for a Xmas eve dinner. The meal from tuna to the chocolate mousse was perfect and reminded me of Christmas’s past

Incredibly attentive service and a delightful evening all around. Cocktail was perfect, great suggestions on the menu, and we felt very well cared for. Adjust the Caesar salad to your liking (ask for less lemon for a 2 person serving), pick your steak knife (NY and ribeye were both outstanding) and add the Mac and cheese!

Booked the Rez based on an IG post. Venue is nice, low key elegance like you wouldn’t feel out of place dressed semi casual , piano player on site nice touch. The service was excellent. I recommend for the steak, as the sirloin and hamburger were excellently cooked. The French onion soup was tasty but had alot of mushrooms in it and very little onions and croutons. The braised short ribs, brussel sprouts, and mushroom gratin sides were only ok. The truffle Mac and Cheese were a little aldente for our taste. The dessert menu was not inspiring either.

Our waiter Nathan was awesome!! He was very attentive stopping by our table and checking in on us. He made our anniversary dinner very special.. Thank You Nathan !!
