The Waggoners is set in Ayot Green near Welwyn, between pretty houses and cottages around a beautiful English green. It is a refurbished 17th century coaching Inn run by Aude and Laurent Brydniak who have a wealth of experience and have run successful restaurants for the last 16 years.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Tables were nicely spaced out. We had the tasting menu and it was AMAZING and very filling. Plenty of parking outside. Although bar was busy when we first walked in, the lovely girl behind the bar served everyone very quickly, constantly apologised and smiled the whole time! Can't wait to return.

`A pleasure to return to the Waggoners after several years absence, everything was as good as we remembered the set menu had plenty of choices and was excellently prepared and served. We won't leave it so long before we are back.

Always a pleasure to dine at the Waggoners. Service is efficient and friendly, but the food is the star - out of this world, truly mouth-wateringly good. Great menu, good selection of wines, so what more could you want.

Quiet in the restaurant due to the England match however we’ve eaten here several times over the years but not recently - the wine tasting menu was lovely as was the wine choices No complaints at all and will be back

We have been here a couple of times now but my boyfriend always wanted to try the taster menu so we went recently for his bday & had the taster menu.....LOVELY!!! Food was tasty, the wines with each dish were very good (& I’m fussy). Will most definitely be going back. Staff were brilliant, announcing each dish as it comes out. Make sure you book in advance...can be difficult to get a table!
