The Watermans Richmond is an all day Restaurant and Bar in the centre of town, conveniently located on an ancient cobbled street that leads down to the waterfront.

Our food is the best of British ingredients, served with a nod to southern Europe, with favourite dishes ranging from scallop ravioli to fregola, veal chops and day boat fish. We also have vegetarian and vegan options as well as delicious puddings including tiramisu, poached pears and profiteroles.

We have been the site of a Public house for centuries and still offer a selection of draught beers however we have an extensive wine list focusing mostly on classic wines from Europe.

The Restaurant is divided into several areas: luxurious deep leather banquette seating, bar counters perfect for lunches and more casual dining and cosy fireside dining in our upstairs room.

We also have two outside areas, a perfect spot for a drink or bite whilst watching the world go by.

We have three private areas that can seat up to 18 in each, or more for standing events. One is upstairs and can be used for meetings and dinners, has a fireplace and is very cosy. The second is downstairs and is our garden room, perfect for canape or drinks parties. The third is our outside dining area, set to the side of the premises and can be used for lunches, dinners, and again canape and drinks parties. We are located 100 yards from the main bus station in Richmond. The District Line terminates at Richmond station and there are many overground options from Twickenham and Clapham to name but a few. On Twickenham rugby days many ticket holders elect to have lunch in Richmond and walk to the game as it takes only 20 minutes.

Wonderful restaurant by the river at Richmond. Lovely decor and ambience. The food was very good, great fresh fish. Apple and blackberry crumble superb! Friendly service.

The Rugby Menu offered good value and was a great opener before going to the Stadium to watch the match

It is the second time I have eaten here. The food was delicious but I didn’t think it was worth the amount we paid.

Booked over a week in advance for Sunday lunch, requesting a nice table. Was put on the table next to the door, which meant bverytime someone came in or left, the door was not closed and a very cold draft was felt. Indicative menu online very misleading. as the prices were £7 expensive, hardly an indicative menu online. While the food was good, the misleading high prices mean other venues for Sunday lunch are better options. Service was okay, functional with hardly a smile.

Lovely staff , lovely little place with a good menu and good food . Not over complicated but great quality . Loved the oysters .
