   They have a beautiful garden at The White Lion which is where we had hoped to eat. Unfortunately, the sun didn’t shine today and we asked to move inside, which the staff happily accommodated. The only negative point was the time taken for the food to arrive but when it came it was very enjoyable. The staff acknowledged the delay without us complaining about it; this was greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend.

   We had a fantastic meal at The White Lion! The pie and mash was absolutely delicious, hearty and full of flavour. Just the kind of comfort food we were after. Big shout out to the lovely Australian waitress who looked after us so well — she gave us brilliant food suggestions and was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I wish I could remember her name! Highly recommend if you’re after great pub food and warm, attentive service!

   Really enjoyable experience. Staff very friendly and efficient. Our Sunday roasts were sublime. Definitely our go to now.

   Staff were friendly, welcoming and polite throughout. Restaurant wasn’t too busy so we got choice of table. Food was excellent we had the cote de beef sharing for two , good value given the amount of food.

   This was our first visit since the renovation and we went for Sunday lunch. The service, food and ambiance was very good . We will definitely be returning.
