Smell the delicious smokiness of Bendigo’s only dedicated steakhouse & grill, where we use local redgum on the grill; there’s nothing quite like the flavour of meat cooked over redgum. The natural smoky flavours and aromas created by this unique timber are something truly special. In the finest tradition of steakhouses, we use locally sourced meat and the very best in fresh, regional produce.

Showcasing 350 wines, including 28 by the glass, including some seriously interesting wines curated by our inhouse Sommelier. With local wines taking pride of place, including some intriguing European offerings, plus a supporting cast of spirits, beers and other beverages, including a decent alcohol-free selection. Cocktail drinkers will be impressed with our seasonally curated list.

    Food was excellent as was the service staff were attentive and helpful, I would recommend that you try this excellent restaurant,. I've been there a number of times and never been disappointed.

    Whilst on the pricey side, it's definitely worth it as it's quality food, made with quality ingredients. Service is amazing and warm ambience combined with the great food, made for a lovely date. My partner and I travelled a far distance for this award winning restaurant and it definitely hits the spot!

    The steaks were exceptional, cooked to each person's preference and the pasta was delicious. Very good service with lovely surroundings.

    King prawns were over cooked, Steak was of poor quality (tough and chewy) Poor service from the gentleman working there (waitress was polite and good) my wife's drink was taken away by the gentleman before she had finished, we have dined here many times and it has been okay but after this I don’t think we will be back, much better dining experiences to be had in Bendigo especially when we paying so much for IGA quality food. Asking for tips? After just coming back from an American holiday I understand tipping, they go way above and beyond for the tips, tips are and should be paid for outstanding service, we got below average service and treatment especially from the gentleman working there.

    Easy online booking process. Friendly front of house staff to greet us and show us to our table. Waitress Mackenzie, was very informative about the menu and guided us through some slight changes to suit us. The food was the best I've had.

    The food was amazing and the staff incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu. Would highly recommend the Woodhouse for special occasion dining.

    Food is nice but i wouldn't say 5 star had better steaks in pubs side of butter beans and cauliflower pretty plain best part of the meal was the creme brulee

    We received the 2 course lunch which was great value. Steak was cooked perfectly to our liking and the crème brûlée was delicious. Fantastic service. Would highly recommend
