We visited as a party of two to celebrate my wife’s birthday, having reserved our spot well in advance for the holiday season in December. While I’ll skip the finer details, the bottom line is that the service was extremely poor—not due to the waitstaff, who were kind and attentive, but because the kitchen was completely overwhelmed. After enjoying a flawless Peruvian ceviche starter, we waited over an hour and a half for our main courses to arrive. When they finally did, the food was absolutely perfect—delicious and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was equally outstanding, making it clear this restaurant has great potential. Unfortunately, the poor kitchen coordination overshadowed what could have been a five-star experience. Despite the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the significant delays in service made the evening fall short of expectations. Bottom line: Incredible food, stunning atmosphere, but very poor kitchen functionality and service.

We found the restaurant to be beautiful and the key to the success with the great people. The manager, Oscar, our server, John, and his assistant Igor were very attentive. The food was good, although we ate fairly late since we’ve been traveling all day. I would say the atmosphere in people are both five stars and the food and value a little bit less. But then again, when you were at a resort you do expect higher cost. I had a bison burger that was undercooked for medium and my wife had chicken noodle soup that is not on the menu. I think our bill was just over $150 with tip.

We are here for our wedding with both a Welcome Party and wedding reception here at the Viceroy in the coming days. We were treated as special guests, which was lovely. The service from Thelisa and Suman was outstanding. The food was delicious and the portions were great. We didn’t get to see the restaurant before the remodel, but it is very nice and approachable for guests and those wanting a nice dinner out without having to get too dressed up. Do it!! We enjoyed it very much.

The newly remodeled restaurant is beautiful. The food is outstanding and there is a great selection with an expanded sushi menu. The lobster tacos are my favorite with the chicken a close second. Free valet parking is an added bonus.

The restaurant started as 8K fifteen years ago. It was good. Toro took over several years ago. The food was ok. It is being renovated now and half of the restaurant is closed. The kitchen is closed. Food is cooked at a different place and carted o the dinner room. The menu is barebone and uninspired. Food is over priced for what it is even for Snowmass. The ambiance is good in spite of the renovation. The cocktail is good but is the only thing worth the trip. A glass of wine is $65.00. I will only go there for the cocktail and not for dinner.

Really disappointed to have made a reservation for at Toro for our anniversary and when we arrived, they said it won't be open until August. It is beautifully decorated but no customers were there. The manager said they could serve lounge food until Toro was open. We felt tricked.
