   It was our first visit, and a very enjoyable one. We were a party of 6, and each and every one of us commented on just how good the service, seating and food was. Please pass on our thanks to the whole team as they were so friendly and helpful.

   Classic hotel restaurant in British style, tables scattered around several rooms around the ground floor. Takes a while for the staff to get to you. We only had tea with desert and were a bit surprised that the deserts had quite average taste. Unless you really have to be there, there are many more other options for the price.

   Beautiful setting and ambiance. Quiet and private place to have a lovely dinner. Food was excellent - portions were small but adequate - service was first rate. Highly recommend

   Very bad experience. They weren’t friendly and make u feel comfortable there . The night before I book this place I look on menu online and they had set menu of 3 course for 35£ but when we arrived they didn’t bring it for us then I ask and they brought us another set menu with was different and more expensive than the one online . And other menus which food was over price and little quality ! We had kids with us and kids menu it was as bad as cheap school food for very expensive price . I’m not recommend it

   Beautiful surroundings, food very good. (Tables were very low, a bit too low for dinner.) Extremely expensive but probably about right for the area. My wife and I went for her birthday treat post-Albert Hall Christmas festivities. We ordered pre-dinner cocktails, which were very good. When we ordered the food, our table server was not au fait with the wine list and simply asked us to show them the entry on the list. We ordered a bottle of white wine for the meal. Halfway through the starter, my wife decided that she would prefer a glass of red wine with her main as she was having duck. I motioned to our server and asked if we could order an additional glass of red and explained the reason. They asked “You’re mixing your drinks. Cocktails, white wine and red wine. You must have a high tolerance for alcohol. Will you perhaps be having another cocktail with dessert?” No understanding of the matching of wine to our food choices was demonstrated, simply their observation on the amount of wine we were having. In my opinion this was hardly excessive for a birthday celebration. That said, even if we’d ordered three bottles of wine, it is no business of waiting staff to comment openly on this.) I was shocked. I felt judged. Judged by a representative of a very upmarket restaurant to which we about to pay an awful lot of money. In my opinion, waiting staff should not express views of this nature. I feel it is incumbent upon management to ensure that appropriate training is given to waiting staff to ensure this.

   The food was really great. However, we didn't even make it to the restaurant itself or the bar, despite having reservations. We were told that both were fully booked and if we wanted to eat we had to do so in the hotel sitting room/coffee area. This was very disappointing, especially since the waitress who sat us wasn't even apologetic or offered any benefit by way of compensation. Since it was already 9:30pm we didn't really have any other choice but to stay and eat there.

    Kudos to the staff. They are remarkably kind, generous, and professional. It was a memorable evening, thanks to them.
