   Valona has been one of our favorite restaurants. Food is always exceptional. However our last dining experience was less than enjoyable. We brought two other couples with us telling them how much we enjoy the restaurant but our night got off to a bad start from the get go. 5 out of 6 appetizers came out wrong. 4out of 6 entrees came out wrong. Now I will say this: it was obvious that the waitress was new . That being said, you would have thought that management would have provided some accommodation for poor night. Not to be. We will come back because the food is so good but I’m hesitant to bring a group here until I see how the service improves.

   We had a delightful dinner, ordering from both the regular menu and specials. Excellent service also!

   My husband said it was the best meal he’s had in a long time. He ordered pasta with crab meat. I ordered chicken Parm and it was excellent. The only reason I gave this restaurant four stars was the Caesar salad appetizer. The portion was skimpy . We told our waitress that we were planning on sharing the Caesar salad. But the salad that we were served was so small, I counted for tiny croutons in the entire salad. I will definitely go back because the entrées were fabulous, and also the portion size of the entrées ordered were more than enough. But I think I’ll stay away from the Caesar salad.

   Some recent updates to the menu looked good (we tried the eggplant rollitini, which was fabulous; and the veal itself was good but I wasn’t crazy about the way the asparagus and lump crabmeat sauce was prepared & served). Overall we had a great meal and our waitress was very sweet.

   Owner greets virtually every guest who dines at the cozy Italian restaurant. Service is great and the food is excellent. Try the vegetarian charcuterie. Beet salad is tasty as well. And the rigatoni crab far diavolo was extremely tasty! Rhus was our second time dining at this restaurant. Great dining experiences each time!

   This was our first visit to this local restaurant. Though the staff and owner are very nice, all four of us are in agreement that we will not be running back. The appetizers were decent. The specials are over priced and mediocre. There is no dessert menu and therefore the patron will be sticker shocked when the bill comes. There is a 4% credit card charge. Not only is this annoying when restaurants include this surcharge but 4% is excessive. Overall we felt our experience was overpriced for the quality and atmosphere.

    Leo is the BEST…. Gracious and welcoming always with a prideful smile. Our waitress Victoria is the best!
