   The quality of food and service is consistently very good. Have been dining there for over 20 years and have never had a poor experience. Always made to feel welcomed and remembered by name. Perfect ambience for a casual lunch or important gathering.

   Hi Peter, Thanks for the conversation off line - we're relieved is was only a 30 minute wait. As we discussed, in peak times like the 12:45 to 1:15 window in which you arrived, 30 Minutes is the upper limit that we give ourselves from time of ordering to mains arriving on the table. When we are quieter between 12:00 and 12:30, it is very common for tables of four like yours to be served in 5 to 15 minutes, which really suits people in need of a quick lunch. In the future if you are time pressured, may we suggest arriving earlier, and if that isn't suitable, do please allow me to shout you some of our shared starters next time. These are designed to get to the table quickly, and most of our guests order these while waiting for mains. Warm Regards - James V - Proprietor

   It's a wonderful and relaxed place to meet up with friends. It's always very busy, and that's because the food and service is exceptional. The only fault I can say is, it's too noisy for me. Will I go there again? Absolutely.

   Hi Marica, Thanks for the lovely review. As you know Treviso is very big, but you may not know that we have quieter pockets of the Restaurant, as well as outdoor seating if the weather is fine.    Treviso is perfect lunch venue whether you have a big or small group. Exceptional service, great Italian food and amazing wine list. Certainly one of the best in Melbourne!

   I have always said it was a great venue for a casual business lunch. A venue you can relax with your clients and talk shop. This time round it was awesome to share plates with the client and whack a bottle of the Wild Duck Grenache which was recommended by staff and highly appreciated. Will book again.     I come to Treviso all the time - sometimes once a week and it's where I always bring my clients and have business meals. Today however we were massively underwhelmed. It wasn't busy and yet the service was not up to standard, it was far slower than normal. Your specials dish of Marlin has coriander throughout with no mention of this on the menu - completely ruined the dish - for a herb that is so strong to so many, it should have been detailed.

    Dear Elisabeth, Everyone here dismayed and upset to read this. Firstly, I wanted to reassure you that there was no Coriander in the dish. Perhaps it was the micro herb garnishes of Sorrel and Red Shiso, although these are neutral in flavour. Had you shared your concern on the spot, we would have either replaced or 'comped' your Marlin dishes immediately. Do please let us (or any hospitality venue you visit) know in the future so we have a chance to correct in real time. We are not in the business of charging our guests for experiences they don't enjoy, and with that in mind, I'd like to extend my personal apology for yesterday's experience, and offer you a refund for the two Marlin dishes.
