Defined not by a specific cuisine, but by a place - Nova Scotia - Tribute sources the best local ingredients to pay homage to authentic, impactful dishes with international influences, showcased through live fire and charcoal cookery in an open kitchen-to-dining room. With a fun and elevated approach to East Coast hospitality, Tribute is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, offering a chef’s tasting menu and wider options a la carte, paired with nimble wine and cocktail lists. Menus will change often to highlight seasonal ingredients from Nova Scotian farmers and producers.

We loved it!! We got the steak and it was to die for. The wine was also really good. The vibes are very unique - the menu is sophisticated, but the decor and energy in the restaurant is more upbeat and lively. They were playing good new music the whole night, it was really fun for a triple date.

The food at Tribute is phenomenal. My husband and I went for his birthday dinner and had the chowder, chimichurri steak with gooey cake for dessert. Each dish was so perfect. It was the best seafood chowder and steak we’ve ever had. Highly recommend! It’s a little loud but great fun atmosphere and cozy.

From the moment we were greeted at the door and seated, to the last bite, trip to washroom and personal send-off by our server--every moment was memorable and thoughtful. The attention to detail in creating a welcoming dining experience was top notch. Our server introduced herself and took care of us through to the very end when she met us at the door to say goodbye. She helped us make decisions about what to choose on the menu and advised honestly about how much to order. The sommelier asked all the right questions -- not just, what are you having for dinner but also what kind of wine/grape do you prefer? The food was excellent, inventive, presented beautifully and timed perfectly between courses. We appreciated the knowledge the servers all have of the food with a complete explanation given for all that we were eating. It's one of the most memorable dining experiences I've ever had.

Best dining experience we’ve had in a very long time. The wood-fired and local inspired menu reminds me of Michael Smith in stead of Fortune Bay, you are nestled in the vibrant urban on the banks of Halifax Harbour. The service is second to none. I predict that Tribute will make a very successful mark on Nova Scotia’s culinary landscape.

Fantastic experience in a lively open kitchen restaurant environment. Very attentive staff. The food is creative and delicious. The location is amazing overlooking Halifax Harbor.

This is a great new restaurant from chef Colin Bebbington. Creative dishes and a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend sitting at the counter - it’s fun to see the magic happen in the kitchen!
