   Wow, I just had my first dinner at Union on the Hill last night, and what an experience it was! Everything was absolutely on point: the food, the flavors, the service, and the whole vibe of the place. We kicked things off with the jumbo crab cake, which was delicious. Then, for our mains, we tried the Cave Man Chicken and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Seriously, every dish was perfectly prepared, seasoned just right, and had incredible texture. A huge shout-out to our server, Seth—he was fantastic! And we even got to meet Chef George and Annamarie, the General Manager. They both made us feel so incredibly welcome, which was a lovely touch. I also have to give props to the person behind the bar, even though I didn't catch their name. They crafted an exquisite whiskey sour that was perfect. Something else that really stood out was seeing all the "regulars" around us. At one point, a table got up to leave, and a waiter called them by name and said, "See you tomorrow!" To me, that's always a sign of a truly great spot—when people keep coming back for more. You can bet we'll be back too!

   We had an early meal with reservations at 5PM, for a party of 5. It was a Thursday. So very quiet and not busy at that time. Our food was excellent and our server, Luke, was fabulous as well.

   For some reason, we had never tried Union on the Hill. It’s one of the places we kept meaning to stop in, but hadn’t. So we made reservations for our 20th anniversary. Really nice experience. Our waitress Kat was very nice and took good care of us. We tried the tempura artichoke as a starter. It was hot, fresh, and really, really good. The Mrs. had scallops and I had the filet mignon as our mains. Both were prepared perfectly, and were hot and fresh from the kitchen. The live music was really tasteful. Excellent musicians. All in all, this was as good a meal as we’ve had in Kansas City. We will definitely be back soon.

   This place came highly recommended, and did not disappoint! Curtis was our service provider and he was excellent. From the greeting, to the recommendations, and his follow ups! I look forward to brunch recommendation!

   I’m calling dining at Union a joyous occasion. Our Sunday Brunch hit all the right notes made obvious by the looks and sounds of patrons and servers alike! Our 1st of many visits.

   We had a delicious meal here on a recent Friday night. We split a di mare flatbread which had a nice combination of flavors and a good amount of shrimp on it. I had the chop chop salad and my companion had the house salad. Again, tasty combination of ingredients and perfectly dressed. I had the halibut special and my companion had scallops. Both were so good. They have unusual wines by the glass which are reasonably priced and we tried a couple each. Parking in the nearby garage is easy. Our server was so friendly and professional, and all the supporting people were the same. Great experience.

    Seafood Platter was awful. The fish had gone bad. The fried chicken was amazing, though.
