Uptowns is an underground cocktail & toastie bar that transports you back to the 80’s-90’s era. We celebrate everything from that perfect time of life, including NBA, sneakers, Sega, Nintendo, Hip Hop, VHS, WrestleMania and vintage street fashion.

Enjoy the atmosphere, enjoy the cocktails and enjoy the heavenly toasties. We run old school console tournaments, stream live NBA games and have a sneaker collection exceeding 10k. You can hire our venue outside of business hours for private functions. Email us for enquiries.

I have been waiting for my weekend off to come to uptown’s and see what all the fuss is about! I was so excited to see this venue as a hip hop R’n’B enthusiasts. It was my good friends Hens, and she also really wanted to go to your venue. So I booked us girls in, for a fun night filled with our favourite bangers, booze and a good old boot scoot! I was actually really disappointed. Upon arrival, and entering the main booth. One of the girls closed the curtains of the main window, to have Hannah storm up to the window and fling shut the curtains and tell my friend, “these have to stay open, don’t touch them” My friend closed them because she felt uncomfortable looking up out the window to have the view of another females g-string under her skirt. Hannah then glared at us for the duration of our booking. At one point I saw her standing at the end of the bar, arms folded, with the ultimate stink eye! I approached Hannah and asked if she had a problem with us, and would she prefer if we all left the venue. That’s how uncomfortable it was! She then told us we were all cut off and had 10 minutes to leave the venue! There was roughly 12 of us at arrival, and by the time Hannah told us to “get out” we had 6 left in our Hens party. We all purchased 2 drinks each, so intoxication was not the issue. I approached Hannah again as we were walking out, asked what her problem was with us, she didn’t really have a valid reason. I told her the way she was glaring at us over the 2 hours was extremely uncomfortable, and that there was no need to for it. Hannah’s respond “oh please, don’t play the victim with me”. Charming! Yea we danced, we twerked, we got x-Tina in our booth, why night it’s a hens party! Needless to say, we all won’t be back to your venue. I’ve had a few people ask how uptown’s was, told them of my experience and 9 out of 10 of those people had similar experience with Hannah.... “the owners wife” Newie is a small place, hope it works for you

Uptown’s was amazing, the only issue I had was no one was regulating the bookings so as myself and my group stood up to order drinks people took the table we had booked.

Not what we expected... The vibe in the place is very up beat & fun, unfortunately a number of the staff were not, we were treated quite rudely by a number of the staff, as if we were interrupting their night. I must say the lovely lady that made our cocktails was very pleasant & knew what she was doing, she did her job well! Their espresso martini was delicious! Shame about the other staff members that treated us with such disrespect & rudeness, really left us with a bad taste about the place. The young ones seemed most welcomed, perhaps not a middle aged kinda place.

Me and my friends had an amazing night out at this venue. Good service mixed with fantastic drinks and atmosphere all added up for an outstanding bar experience. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place again soon and will tell everyone I know about it!!!!

Great place to start or end a night. Good for a small group and the games keep you entertained and socialising. Larger groups might struggle with space and the volume of music.

The drinks were a little expensive, but we had a great time. The music and the decor was fantastic, the barstaff were very friendly and helpful...we loved it and will definitely return

It was a good night we love coming there the changing of the music mid songs was annoying and I just think your employees need a little more personality there was a guy behind the bar who really wasn’t enjoying himself and it showed in his energy and service but overall uptown’s is cool and has so much potential just maintain your vibe
