   Made reservation was set I was asked if it was a special occasion. I said it was my wife’s birthday. No one on the staff acknowledged the special occasion. Very disappointing since we have eaten their several times and was a member of the wine club for a couple years.

   I think I just had the best Tenderloin and Mashed Potatoes that I've ever eaten.

   This is a cute restaurant in a newly revitalized portion of downtown Forest Grove. It was very busy when we arrived for our reservation with two large parties sat nearby. We were sat promptly and then seen by the wait staff in an appropriate amount of time. The drinks were well balanced and good, the appetizers (burrata and meatballs) were delicious. The two large parties left and then our server simply did not check on us again. We could see her doing cleaning and talking with other staff but she only reappeared for the check. The entrees were good, but took far too long to come out and we had to prompt the staff for another round of drinks. Overall, very decent food somewhat ruined by a less than stellar service.

   Upon checking in, the hostess (alway waitress) said they had just given our table away, but they were working on clearing another. This statement left us feeling less than adequate. Cocktails were ordered and the waitress tried to change up an iconic limoncello by adding club soda, we declined the offer and enjoyed it as intended, it was a delicious treat. The beet salad was great!! The short rib ragu pasta was delicious, even though it needed a bit more sauce. And the braised short ribs were also great!! They have the makings of a wonderful eatery and I hope they succeed.

   The warm beet salad was worth the trip. I truly wish that the chefs would use just a pinch or two of salt in the pasta water or the sauce so that the delicate flavors would be enhanced. There’s a very one-note, flour forward flavor in my opinion. I can always ask for salt at the table — have and will continue to do so if necessary.

   Such a great place with great food! Service is exceptional and they have such an amazing selection of wines. Best place in Forest Grove and one of the best in the state.

   We love the staff, the food, and the experience. Perfect for any occasion. Staff is so knowledgeable about wine and the local scene.
