This was probably the best dining experience my gf and I have had in Austin so far, from start to finish. We didn’t know what to expect, but they had a great selection of drinks, appetizers, and entrees, desserts. The ambiance was nice. It’s a little pricey but really pretty typical of upscale Mexican restaurants around here. We had margaritas, salsa tasting, Mexican chicken noodle soup, chicken fajitas, and the wagyu fajitas. Churros for dessert. Everything was 10/10, and the service was top tier. Our server was great, but what’s even better is that all the other staff were very friendly and super quick to help out with any requests. We’d highly recommend.

I have not had an experience THIS overwhelming positive in as long as I can remember. I brought a group of 8 and we all left THRILLED. The food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, the service impeccable from check in to walking out. Just an absolute gem.

We sat at the bar and received poor service. We arrived at 8pm and she was prioritizing her closing duties over our experience. She greeted us promptly, but took a while for her to take our order. Left a bad taste in our mouths after racking up a $200 dinner.

Ok so we got there just after 4 pm so it was quiet. Let me say that dinner for two was $300 so it was a special night. We got the fajitas for 2 at $100, a vegetable side, 3 drinks, two light appetizers and one dessert and took half of it home. Everything is fresh and well made. I felt like I was in a food spa— I’m a celiac— and they came out to certify their process to ensure all was good for my needs. I love it. I’m now in a Mexican food coma

The food is amazing. We chose the surf and turf fajitas and the filet and lobster were incredible. We will return for those for sure. Also solid choices were the mole tasting dish and the cesar salad. And for the grand finale, we had the dessert tasting platter. Perfect amount of small tastes for three fantastic sweet treats. We also went with the classic Verdad margaritas and they were spot on. And the service. No comparison. Multiple staff for multiple services. Super friendly, informative and professional. The meal was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. A great choice for a date night or celebration. An overall excellent experience!

So loud I had difficulty carrying on conversation and hearing our waiter. Food was good, just not special. Flour tortillas were raw, which is a deal buster at a Mexican restaurant.

My first time eating at Verdad was a great experience! I love the ambience; the owner put a lot of thought into designing the space. The starter that I ordered, the hamacci carpaccio, was a 10/10! I ordered the garlic shrimp video which was decent, but could be improved for sure, so it's a 7.5/10 for me. On the other hand, my friend ordered the enchiladas, it was a 9/10 for me!
