Vinocruz Wine Bar and Kitchen features over 50 local wines by the glass from the beautiful and often under appreciated Santa Cruz Mountains AVA starting at about $9 a glass along with local ciders and beers on tap. We also have an extensive menu of small plates including Flatbreads, Fish Tacos, Street Tacos, Short rib Sliders, House made Hummus, Vino Burger, Port infused Truffles, daily specials and much more!

We are located in Soquel Village about a 2 min drive from Capitola beach and 10 min from SC Beach Boardwalk. Our large redwood bar and handmade tables offer a cozy, but modern dining experience. For groups larger than 4 please give us a call and we would be happy to accommodate you. Our goal is to be your go-to location for a slightly upscale wine bar in Santa Cruz County and also THE place to go explore Santa Cruz Mountains Wines.

                                                The folks serving us were great and had good wine recommendations. Somehow they were out of burgers during burger week, but the lasagna was tasty (untraditional but good). Tables outside were roomy and well heated.

                                                Intimate, but casual atmosphere. Small jazz trio played in the corner (at a sound level where we could still talk at our table). The food was just incredible. We each had different entrees and planned to go elsewhere for dessert, but the entrees were so amazing that we tried the dessert as well and again - amazing. Staff was super attentive and we even spent a few minutes chatting with the owner/pastry chef. Best food in the Aptos/Capitola/Santa Cruz area in my opinion.

                                                So happy to have found this little gem. Don’t let first glance fool you, the food is amazing. I particularly recommend the quiches and tacos. There is also a really cute little French Bakery inside the main restaurant. We sat outside and there was a little noise from street traffic but not too bad. Will def revisit!

                                                Went for a first date. The place is small with approximately 25 chairs. I would recommend making an a reservation to ensure a seat. Great staff, ambiance, food, and wine choices.

                                                The food was fantastic!!! We were the only people there unfortunately. They even had a band playing. We enjoyed the food a lot!! The service was so so but I understand. She was had no customers so that means she’s making very little money. But I’d give my one customers the best service they ever had if it was me. But the business and cooks deserve the five star rating. 100%!! Fantastic place to take a date or your visiting parents. Loved it!!!!

                                                Made the mistake of going on trivia night for a quiet dinner with friends. Note: Expect this to take over on Tuesday nights. The food was really good. They have some new menu items that we really enjoyed. If there was any feedback it would be to be able to add a protein to your delicious salads. Great service too! I will be back on a different night!

                                                Although I was able to make reservations on OpenTable and the website indicated they were open and even even the sign in the window said open, the restaurant was obviously closed. Door locked, lights out, chairs on tables. Arrived with our group of three and needed to make a new plan. Making a reservation was pointless. I called and left a message, explaining what happened and asking what happened to their end. I assumed that they had an emergency, but no one returned my call. I’ve had plenty of wonderful meals and gatherings there, so the miscommunication and then lack of communication was quite a disappointment.

We did end up closing early that Sunday after the first couple hours of the superbowl game. Unfortunately your reservation was not seen in our system otherwise we would have stayed open for you.                                                 Three stars because my flatbread was badly burnt and not even served--another was prepared, making for a long wait for my food. But when it arrived it was excellent. Unfortunately the chairs are very uncomfortable.
