Great food. But don’t ever ask us to pay a 4% “administrative fee” that’s (a) not advertised beforehand and (b) has no obvious value to me as a consumer. Just add $20 for no reason? No thanks. Contact us when you remove this, and we’d gladly dine there again.

William and his team always make us feel welcome. Food is fantastic as is the service. One of our favorite spots in Seattle.

This was our second time going to Violet. Once a group of 6 and this time just 2 of us. Both times it was fabulous. I've never had better scallops - done just perfectly without being overdone at all. And the Short Ribs fell off the bone. Will definitely become a regular as everything we've had there is fabulous.

Chef William never disappoints! The omikase is a must! You won’t regret this. Don’t forget to do the wine pairing. Everything is made in house with the freshest ingredients. Be sure to ask about their off-menu cocktails- the early grey infused gin martini with egg foam was to die for! We truly enjoy coming here and also bringing our clients.

Three of us from Portland, Oregon visiting Seattle. We had a 6:00 reservation and were seated immediately; restaurant started to fill up more around 6:30. We really liked the lighting and general comfortable, contemporary and cozy vibe here. We loved the salad and potato puree. The chicken breast was beautiful and delicious. Special appetizer hamachi crudo didn’t have much flavor and was just okay, octopus good. Cod was good, not great. It seemed to take forever to get the cod and the chicken which seemed very odd since the other food came out in a timely manner. Service was generally good but we did find it odd that our waiter didn’t check in or update us on why our entrees were taking an inordinately long time. But he was busy with other tables so maybe wasn’t aware. In general for the price, we were kind of disappointed because this restaurant was highly recommended by several people on Reddit in the Seattle Dining topic.
