Ciao e benvenuti a Voghera!

At Voghera we proudly showcase the culinary refinement of Northern Italian cuisine, with a focus on Milanese traditional dishes. Our small menu is inspired by the seasons and reflects the products availability of that time of the year.
Along some of our signature Milanese dishes such as Cotoletta alla Milanese – breaded bone-in 16oz veal cutlet, or Risottino alla Milanese – Carnaroli rice simmered with saffron, you can enjoy the Menu Milanese – a 4- course prix-fixe menu that revolves around Milan’s best-known recipes.

Also, Voghera is the first to introduce APERICENA in the United States. Very similar to the Spanish Tapas, this modern Milanese style of dining is derived from the combination of the words Aperitivo (happy hour) and Cena (dinner). It’s available as happy hour, as well as every night in substitution of the full dinner menu if desired.

We heard good things and decided to try. 7:30 Saturday night. Seated in a back room which was incredibly noisy with a couple large parties. We waited at least 10 minutes for someone to even say hello. This while a 2 top next to us received attention from the server and a food runner from the kitchen. Ordered 2 Negronis and a bottle of sparkling water. Someone came over and without even saying hi filled our water glasses with tap. When we explained we ordered sparkling they just shrugged. Waiter comes with our drinks and pours the bubbly. One of our glasses had food items or debris inside and we politely asked for another. An entire glass of bubbly wasted. Food arrives and was hot and delicious / brasato with polenta and seafood pasta. Both really good. Served hot and presented nicely. However ... our brasato came with ... couscous! Obviously they ran out of polenta but no mention of it at all and the dish was $46! Overall a very mid experience esp for the price.

The owner, Marco, is incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The food tasted like it came straight from Italy. This place is the closest to the streets of Florence you can get in Denver. The Milanese-Prix (fixed menu) was an absolute dream… heaven in your mouth with each dish. The wait staff are knowledgeable and professional. The ambiance is warm, masculine, and romantic. I will certainly be coming back!!!

Food & menu was really good. Unique compared to most Italian restaurants. Service was a little disappointing. Server forgot plates. I had to bring my card to the server after waiting 10-15 mins to find him on his phone. We over ordered, thinking everything was small to medium plates. This is just my opinion, but I would expect an experienced server to point out when two people are ordering six items that they might want to wait until the 2nd course to order more. Despite that, the restaurant is really good.
