A new restaurant with Italian focus and excellent recipes, preparation and presentation. Portions are just right, meaning much smaller than most American restaurants. I was able to finish salad and entree without leaving 1/2 the food on the plates. They are still awaiting the liquor license and expanded beverage options. Prices are reasonable for fine dining in Hawaii at about $65/person without drinks.

Amazingly good, authentic Italian food, not typically seen in Kona. It's an upscale vibe and a welcome change from the typical touristy restaurants on Alii Drive. The food was sophisticated and well worth the price for us. I fear some guests won't appreciate the quality vs price, however. I rated the atmosphere as 'good' not 'very good' because the dining room on the ground floor is air conditioned, and I wish it had been warmer. Overall, a bright spot in the dining scene for Kona in 2025! Can't wait to share this restaurant with visiting friends.

For Cotto we had the White Bean Dip and Sticky Black Pepper Ribs which were very tasty and not too filling. For pasta we had the Rigatoni Bolognese and Spaghetti w/ahi belly, garlic, chili and sea asparagus both wear excellent. For dessert we had malasada-like pastries (forgot the name) with lilikoi sauce, very yummy. Portions were just right and the price was in line with fine dining in the area. Had a great time getting to know the owners and wait staff, who were all very cordial, knowledgeable and professional. Will definitely recommend to our Kona friends.

The best meal we have had in Hawaii period including all of the hotels and after 50 years we would know. Sticky ribs, Pork Chop are both out of this world good. The Chef's are spectacular and together create the perfect harmony of flavors.

Chef Chad and his team did a wonderful job and this is the best restaurant in Kona! Everything was delicious and service was fast and helpful.

TIny portions. Be prepared to go out to dinner somewhere else after having dinner at Walua Social. Paid premium prices for entrees too small to fill up the tiniest of humans.
