So you ask why Wanda Byob?

Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad.

What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.

With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come.

A wonderful meal off the newly updated menu. Service is always very good and friendly. I was a little disappointed I had noted the occasion was for my girlfriends birthday and there was no mention of it. I didn't make anything of it as it was just she and I and everything else was very good.

This is a lovely restaurant but the food has changed. Needs attention in the kitchen. Each of the four of us were disappointed in our plates. Service was great! Hope delicious food returns.

Wanda’s deserves more love. Everything about this place exhibits the pride and dedication that you would hope for in local restaurant. The menu is inventive and updated to reflect seasonal availabilities. The dishes are creative and tasty and the staff is personable and attentive. We had the goat cheese croquettes, beet salad, short ribs and pork tenderloin- all of which were top notch. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you haven’t visited you owe them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Wanda BYOB is one of my favorite restaurants for Sunday Brunch! I’ve been here several times and they’ve never disappointed me in anyway. The food has always been delicious and the wait staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. I plan to try dinner one day!

Have been going there for years and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently outstanding. They make periodic tweaks to the menu with emphasis on nightly specials.

Service, food and ambiance are always on point. The blackened sea bass was out of this world. And the orange marmalade bread pudding was to die for. Both were specials. Love Wanda's!

Food was pretty good. Steak and eggs were very good as was the Brussels sprout appetizer. Good potion sizes too. The French onion was just OK. The broth was very thick and not to my liking. Chicken and waffles were ok. Chicken was fresh and well prepared, but the waffles were less than desired. Need a newer recipe for the waffles, very bland and undercooked. I’d go back though, since the menu was a bit different and each plate had layers of flavor.
