Our waitress Jasmine was attentive and thoughtful . We were not rushed and she s checked for ingredients for a gluten allergy. The good presentation was beautiful and flavor was except. We'll definitely be going back

The service was very good. She was very new but answered all our questions and checked on us and got everything we asked for. The food was very good. The menu is very diverse and had a lot of different opinions. Most things on the menu very reasonably priced. We will be going back.

Wanted to try this new restaurant and so happy we did. Also told friends about it and they loved it as well. We had three main dishes, RIGATONI ALLA VODKA, Scottish Lamb and TAGLIATELLE CON FUNGHI. My daughter often gets vodka sauce dishes and said this was the best she’s ever had. The pancetta really brings out the flavor. The Scottish lamb was wonderful. I keep thinking about it. Slow cooked for 4 hours. Just wonderful. My husband the pasta with 4 type of mushrooms in a cream sauce. He loved it. Portion sizes aren’t crazy so you don’t feel too full afterwards. The owners are from Moldova and the cook I believe is from Ukraine. Interesting dishes. We keep talking about our dishes and are looking forward to our next visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Went here for my wife's 50th Birthday celebration. The food and service was outstanding. Its great seeing a upscale causal restaurant come into the West Chicago area. Can't wait to go back!!! So many other items we need to try.

We really enjoyed our meal at West Chicago Taverna. Our waitress, Jasmine, was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu items! My husband had a prime ribeye that was cooked exactly to his liking and beautifully plated! We shared a honey cake for dessert that was delightful. Dianne

I decided to try this new restaurant for a friend's birthday We had a delightful evening & will be going back The scallops & prawns were perfect & the Keviv (sp) cake was delicious The menu is unique; such a nice change This restaurant is a wonderful choice anytime !!!

I’m so excited to have a more upscale restaurant in West Chicago. We started with the prawns and the burrata. Our main courses were Scottish Lamb, Bouillabaisse, and Branzino. For dessert we had the Kyiv Cake and Honey Cake. Everything was delicious, and the presentation was simply elegant. You must save room for the Kyiv cake! The drinks were tasty, as well. I was pretty disappointed with the way the burrata was served. It was so good, but it was served atop a long crostini; the crostini was not cut to share. I had to deconstruct the dish, as our knives could not cut through the bread. I had to tear it apart with my hands and reconstruct the dish to serve it. I was also not too impressed with the service. The server was attentive enough; however, he was persistent about getting us to place each course of our orders quickly. There were plenty of open tables, so it certainly wasn’t for the need of quickly turning the table. We decided to cave and finish placing our orders for all of the courses. Being a nicer restaurant, we opted to trust that the server would know how to time our courses. He did not. He also failed to clear our plates before new dishes arrived, literally making us pick up and hold our dirty plates so he could set down the next course. All in all, we will return. I have chosen to chalk up these missteps as new restaurant growing pains that will be ironed out soon enough. It would be so great for a restaurant with this beautiful menu to survive in our little town.

Outstanding food this evening. Had an appetizer salad and a main course. Although the kitchen had a little trouble with timing, the food was very well prepared and tasted great.
