   The food was phenomenal. We had the fresh oysters, squid and chicken wings for appetizers. The chicken wings were packed with so much flavour. For our main we had seafood pasta, the Wagyu burger, the duck, and the sausage cavatelli. The service was amazing, very attentive and welcoming. Love the decor. We will definitely dine here again.

   We tried Wildlight for this first time to host a guest speaker in our department for dinner. We were a party of 8. The table service was attentive and prompt, with excellent attention to guest issues such as allergies and dietary preferences. The food, when it arrived, was delicious: original, creative combinations of ingredients showing excellent technique and good flavour. We all appreciated the highlighting of local ingredients. However, the food was very slow to come out of the kitchen. We arrived around 7:30, and did not receive our main dishes until almost 9:00. The kitchen was obviously backed up, even though it was a weeknight and the restaurant was not full. I would recommend Wildlight for creative cuisine using local ingredients, but be prepared to wait... and wait... and wait.

   Four of us had a delicious lunch in the atrium. One of us recommends the seafood chowder and two others rated the fries as the best. It was quiet, an umbrella blocked the glare, and our server was delightful. The lavender shortbread presented with the bill was a nice touch.

   The food is excellent. World-class cuisines with a twist of international fusion enhancing local ingredients. UBC Garden Salad was outstanding. Sable fish, Scallop seafood Risotto, the Duck, Seafood Panini were very good. Creative and phenomenal for both palate and visual. Everything is so Instragramy! We selected Wildlight for a family birthday gathering with a small child. The service is superb and personable. With the chilled atmosphere and excellent service, we felt right at home. Birthday desserts were surprisingly marvelous. The sweet and sour Rhubarb Pie is top-notch. Pear Dessert was heavenly. Their Tiramisu is the finest! I'll surely go back.

   Ideal for a special event dinner experience. Lots of meal choices. A cut above the usual restaurant chains. Spacious, quiet, friendly.
