   Place was not crowded but took way too long to get food and then dessert. One of our side dishes ordered never even made it to the table and had to be removed from the bill. Waitress not once asked if we needed drink refills. Food was very good, chicken was a bit overly spicy but still excellent. Overall though not a great experience.

   Excellent! The coffee based martini, the light breading on the fried chicken, the service, all top notch. Would highly recommend. We had the chicken and waffles and also the hot honey biscuit sandwich. Highly recommend!

   Hadn't been back since the new location opened. The food was excellent, as usual. Service was good too. Glad to see Willie Mae's is still getting it done!

   Good was ok just a little too greasy for my liking. I had fried chicken leg and thigh the leg was actual good but the thigh had too much grease, fried okra was good but the cabbage was also very greasy

   I had the fried chicken, and red beans and rice. The red beans and rice was really good, but the Chicken had too much breading on the chicken and really greasy. Unfortunately I had heartburn and indigestion for 3 hours after eating my meal.

   I was hoping for a more authentic experience like the original Willie Mae’s in Treme. While the new location has a nice building and decor that gives a more commercial vibe, I miss the cozy, at-home feeling of the original spot. I found the chicken to be similar to what you might find at the Willie’s Chicken food chain on Bourbon St, but I would love to see the unique qualities that made the original Willie Mae’s Scotch House special.

    This is not the same Willie Mae’s that I frequented in years past. The chicken was spicy but UNSEASONED if that makes sense. The red beans and rice were unseasoned and bland as well as the macaroni and cheese. Just no longer good!!! If you enjoyed the flavors from like 2013 - 2017 back at the old location with the long line at the door this ain’t it NO MORE. Service was horrible…he kept breaking someone else’s food to our table at least two times before I got the right order. I wanted a Pepsi and was told they were out while I seen what appeared to be a cola on another customer’s table. One and done for me.
