Great restaurant in Civic Center/Hayes Valley area. Really unique and inventive dishes, good wine selection, and nice ambience.

I only put moderate noise because our party was loud, and we were in a cozy nook. Otherwise, the noise level throughout was bustling but not over the top (how I like my Thursday nights out). All I can say about the food and drinks are, be prepared for the unexpected (in a great way). Every drink I had, and dish, had a twist to it, which is something I was looking forward to. The staff was super friendly and ready to help/answer questions, and I can't wait to try everything else I didn't get to taste on the menu. This is a very unique spot I'd like to try regularly!

Great service. Our waitress Kat was a great help with navigating your menu. Our group shared 5 different starters and each a different entree. Very dish was great.

The restaurant was extremely disorganized. awe had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. The drinks took 30 minutes to arrive and then they brought the wrong drink. When we pointed out the error, no one apologized for the mistake. The food took over an hour to arrive and there was no explanation or apology for the delay. An extremely disappointing experience.

Had a fantastic dinner last night! The ambiance was cozy. The service was attentive, and the food was exceptional—every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. It made for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and atmosphere!

Food was delicious and well-prepared. I loved the eggplant parcels and all the fish dishes. I think the ceviche and oysters were my two favorites. The staff were attentive, but not overly so -- and addressed any questions we had promptly. I highly recommend checking them out. Walkable to the arts in Hayes Valley for a show.

This was my first time at Xebec, and I loved both the food and the experience. We sat at the bar due to a last-minute reservation. The ambiance was great, and the service was outstanding. The bar seats were a bit uncomfortable, , but I wouldn’t ding the restaurant on that. We ordered the Eggplant, Arancini, Hand Roll, Omakase, Chilean Sea Bass, and Poached Fruit for dessert. The arancini was good but lacked a strong Uni flavor, so I’d suggest skipping that one. Everything else was absolutely delicious, and the sea bass was fantastic!

Great concept; several outstanding dishes, while others could use some adjustment despite good ideas. Service was generally good, could have been more attentive, had a couple of lulls in the meal (finished with starters but not able to order entrees). The cocktails were excellent. Would recommend.
