Xiquita is a highly anticipated restaurant that brings the vibrant flavors and rich culture of Mexico City to the Mile High City. Inspired by the diverse culinary traditions of Mexico, Xiquita offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the country's indigenous ingredients and cooking techniques. Led by Chef Erasmo Casiano, the restaurant's name, Xiquita, is a playful twist on "chiquita," a term of endearment for Casiano's mother, and a nod to the indigenous languages of Mexico.

At Xiquita, diners can expect to find dishes that are both authentic and innovative. The menu features a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, such as tamales and tortillas, made with locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also enjoy unique creations like the Infladita de Carne Apache, a play on steak tartare, and the Tikin Xic, a Yucatan dish featuring fish grilled over charcoal in a banana leaf.

This dining experience with a bit of a mixed bag. The food itself was good. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the quality of the food. While the staff was attentive, their approach felt somewhat...awkward. We were asked multiple times if everything was okay, which, while well-intentioned, became a bit disruptive. It felt like we were being subtly rushed, though a direct explanation about needing the table would have been preferable. Overall, the repeated check-ins, instead of feeling helpful, created a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere.

I wish I could give this place 5 plus stars. Absolutely delicious. From the cocktails to each plate. I can’t say enough about the flavors of everything. We started with the ceviche which involved a spicy coconut sauce that made us want to lick the bowl. We chose to go with a pre fixe menu they were doing for the holiday weekend, which isn’t our usual choice, but it really gave us an opportunity to try a variety of dishes. Chef brought a couple of our dishes and what a treat to let him know how amazing everything was that we ate. The masa flavor is just so good! Feels like you are tasting tortillas for the first time. Love what is being served here and we will be back and bringing friends to share this amazing food experience.

Had our first dinner here and immediately made another reservation before we left, the experience was that good! Food was amazing, the Chef came over to chat about the menu with us and showed us to the back how they’re making their tortillas with corn locally from the Ute Tribe. Friendly staff and can’t wait to come back this week!! Do yourself a favor and book a reservation!

The prix fixe was wonderful and the chef visited the table for a nice conversation.

Excellent food and service in a beautiful atmosphere. Liz, our server, was helpful and courteous. We had cocktails and happy hour fare. The ceviche is not to be missed! We ordered another one after the first.

Creative, flavorful Mexico City and Oaxaca style food. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helped us find the right balance of dishes. Exciting to have such interesting and quality Mexican food in Denver. The tortillas provided as an appitizer are terrific. We would like to see them offered on the side with dishes such as the fantastic carne asada.

What an absolutely fantastic experience we had at Xiquita. The dishes were so well thought out with so many unique and creative flavors. We enjoyed the ceviche, the oysters, the sikil pak, the tikin chic, the steak dish, the beef tongue sope, as well as the Tezcalate dessert and the cornbread dessert. The restaurant is beautiful inside, it was lively, and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Loved the experience - both in terms of learning about authentic Mexican cuisine and the service we received both from our server and the kitchen person who visited us. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful.
