I came here with my partner for my birthday dinner. I wanted to try something new so decided to come to Z Cucina as I’d heard good things about it. Nothing was necessarily bad but nothing was necessarily great, and for the price I was hoping for something great. I specifically chose a restaurant with calamari because it was truthfully what I was most excited about. It was incredibly over-salted (and I am someone who typically over-salts my food so it was extreme). At some point the neighboring table asked what we thought and they shared the same sentiment. The cocktail I ordered tasted oddly artificial so I wasn’t a fan. For our entrees, I had ordered the squid ink bucatini. My shrimp was definitely overcooked and chewy. The scallops & mussels were good however. As for the pasta itself I was disappointed. I had been searching for a squid ink pasta in Columbus after trying it a while ago in Chicago.. the hunt is still on. Where my appetizer was over-seasoned, the pasta was somehow under-seasoned and bland. Due to it being my birthday we were presented with chocolate ice cream which was a nice gesture,but on a personal note my partner and I both hate chocolate so we were just unlucky and felt bad about the food waste. I would suggest at least offering chocolate vs vanilla. Our service was also okay. Our server was kind but it seemed like we were wedged in someone else’s section so our interactions were limited which was a bit disheartening considering how doting the server who had the tables to our left and right was. Not necessarily our servers fault due to where we were placed in respect to her other tables. It also seemed odd that she never asked about dietary concerns considering that’s standard practice elsewhere but perhaps that’s just me being picky. We left my birthday dinner a bit regretful of our choice to dine here. Overall, everything was just fine, but there are better places to go. Will I come back? Probably not. Especially not for a special occasion.

A wonderful Italian restaurant. Everything tasted extremely fresh and was very flavorful. Portion sizes were huge, so a couple could easily split a salad, entree and dessert. Will definitely return.

I had no idea what to expect when booking this reservation but the menu looked great so I wanted to try. I knew from the moment we walked up that it was going to be a great experience. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was fun, and the smell was amazing. We waited for our table to open up at the bar and the drinks were great. Once we were seated, our server came immediately and made us feel taken care of. From the appetizers to the wine to our main dishes, everything was exactly what I was hoping for. I will certainly be back and I will likely become a regular.

The food was delicious, service was good until our server got 4 tables of 4,6,6, and 4- the assistants who ran food, water and checked on us frequently were great. We love the restaurant in general and they did a wonderful job on a busy New Years Eve

Everything was amazing! Especially it being a holiday night (New Years Eve). Great service and food. Least favorite item was the beet salad.

We went to Z Cucina for New Year's Eve dinner (party of 5) and had a wonderful time. Originally, our table in the back of the covered patio was a bit chilly and we requested another table knowing that this is one of the busiest evenings for all restaurants. We were immediately reseated at another table inside the restaurant. All of our party was thoroughly impressed with the positive response of the staff. This continued throughout our meal, with exceptional service provided by Nermeen. She was always extremely friendly, courteous and efficient. We had drinks, appetizers, main courses and deserts (all excellent) and were never felt rushed or hurried through the meal. As busy as the restaurant was (and we were seated next to the bar) the noise level was also fine. We had a great time and will definitely recommend Z Cucina to our friends and will most definitely return.

Z is a consistent winner. The staff is always nice and accommodating. The food was excellent. I asked to be surprised with a pasta and they brought out meatballs and spaghetti. My wife had the pappardelle with squash. We shared the fall salad. Excellent drinks too. Cannelloni dessert was a good size and tasty. Steven was a greater server and John at the front was super nice.
