Izakaya (居酒屋), made up of three Kanji symbols translates as stay, drink, place. It represents an informal bar where friends & family meet, a comfortable setting where you can really settle in and enjoy food & drinks in a casual style. Izakaya style, unlike a traditional restaurant is fun, vibrant & relaxed, dishes come to your table as they are ready, they are meant to be shared.

Our family escaped war torn Lebanon during the civil war of 1975 and settled in Australia. Like many before us seeking a peaceful life, Australia welcomed us with open arms, and right from the moment we arrived we called this beautiful, sacred land our home. The Syrian and Lebanese backgrounds in our parents’ heritage meant we were influenced by world-class cuisine and culture.
