From cleaning bushels of raw tomatoes to jarring the sauce with fresh basil there was always enough made so you never left Sunday dinner hungry. From homemade pasta, a time-honored tribute to their Nonna's lasagna sheets hanging on a drying rack on Sundays, to wood-fired pizza Romana, a thin-crust pizza, classic recipes like carbonara, cacio e pepe, carciofi fritti, and suppli, a Roman rice ball street food, you can eat like a Roman at Botte without booking an expensive flight to Roma. Then again, traveling to Italy is always a fun adventure.

There is a sense of Italian Famiglia, family, and kinship within the Botte group. Chef Antonio Costa opened the first Botte Bar and has returned to enhance his Roman family recipes from generations ago.
