Saltus River Grill is a unique, and exciting restaurant in historic downtown Beaufort, South Carolina. Anything on the menu will be EXCELLENT! And, of course, all specials are spectacular, without question. Our favorite place to gather, eat, spend time in Beaufort County. If 10 stars was an option, that's what we would give all aspects of the Saltus experience!!

Our party of three were seated in the dining area in the front, next to the bar. I think this must be ‘overflow’? It was lively, which was to expected, but there was a loud table of four birthday revelers next to us (not in the bar) who were very loud. So this is why the noise level rating is higher than normal. We ordered small salads as starters, then enjoyed shrimp and grits, filet with truffle frites and my daughter had sashimi and the mahi roll. Everyone’s meal was delicious! Our server was great too, choosing a smooth cabernet as I requested to go with the filet. It was a excellent meal out with family. Thanks.

Diver Scallops were amazing! My husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits, and the pumpkin pie was a nice twist on the fall classic. Our server (victoria, I think) was friendly and efficient.

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed an evening with family and friends. The timing of service from our waiter was perfect. Saltus is our go to restaurant for special occasions.

Odd interaction with hostess, arrived with a reservation which she had. Told us unfortunately I only have seating outside, everything inside is reserved, not acceptable , we have a reservation and dining room half empty. She looked down at her desk and said “oh, I found you a table “🤦🏻‍♀️ Dining room one third empty the entire time we’re there. Must have cost the restaurant plenty of money turning people away. Waitress was very nice, good service. Food was excellent. We both had the fried flounder dish which was a great recipe and cooked perfectly.

Our first dining experience here, and it was a perfect evening. All four of us ordered something different and shared rave reviews. I paired my seared tuna with a tasty Portuguese Alvarinho wine--will definitely return again!

One of my favorite restaurants in town. It was my Birthday and our children anniversary and they gave us a beautiful dessert spread no charge. A very classy thing to do

Food was great. Service was excellent once we changed from a wobbly table and a new waiter. Hostesses were less than professional, forgetting that customer should be greeted in a friendly manner. Tha overall ambiance was nice, the noise level was extremely loud for an establishment such as Saltus.

We had the best waitress, Kelsey Thursday night. We had open table reservation on Friday. Kelsey and Chad were the bar tenders Friday. Awesome team! Great personalities! The best drinks made by the 2 of them! Great bar as well! Fun!!!
