                                                                                Saltus River Grill is an excellent restaurant with great food and good ambience. Also a nice bar area. Service was spot on at the bar and restaurant area. The emphasis is on seafood, but they also have other selections such as steak. My wife had crab bisque and an appetizer called shrimp pirlau. I had oysters on the half shell and a veal shank osso buco with risotto. All were excellent. Highly recommend.

                                                                                We had a party of 4 and 3 of us ordered the scallops. All three were so tone cold and scallops barely warm. We will not be back nor will we go again. The only reason we ate it was we were all starving and on a tight window of time. Really sad. We hoped to enjoy the dinner that we paid over $300 for.

The Korean spring rolls were great, all of the seafood was perfectly cooked, and the steak for my iceberg wedge was super. Our waiter was on it! Saltus has been around for a long time and it’s easy to understand why.

                                                                                We have been dining at Saltus since 2018 and it has been our favorite restaurant in Beaufort until last evening. It was our anniversary and we were looking forward to dining again at Saltus. My wife most often would get the shrimp and grits and it was always delicious. Not the case last evening. The grits were gummy and lumpy as if they had been sitting around for a while. We were surprised the chef even served it. Music was to loud and much of it was just bad. Nobody listens to it so why is it so loud? Difficult to carry on a normal conversation. It just seems as though the restaurant is going down hill a little. Hope I am wrong but it may be some time before we return. We had planned on going there for Valentine Day but that has changed. Please get it together.

                                                                                Saltus is definitely the best restaurant in Beaufort in my opinion. This has become the go to place for us to celebrate birthdays. The food is always very good and all though the menu is not extensive it does have a good variety. I think the ambience is fine without much music so my suggestion is that they change the music from more like classic popular songs to something more jazzy or subtle. Otherwise, we look forward to our future visits.

                                                                                Made reservations at Saltus for my mom, sister, and I while we were in town celebrating Moms birthday. All three of us felt it was one of the best meals we had ever had. (That’s saying a lot, as two of us live in Charleston!) Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

                                                                                Food was good but we were placed in a corner table next to a very cold window which made it very uncomfortable and there were other seat options they could have given us for our reservation.

                                                                                The food was good not great, the portions were very small and I am not someone who wants a huge amount, but for the price one of the two should have been better. The service was excellent. Unfortunately there are few restaurants in Beaufort so if you want fine dining this is it.
