New Years Eve was packed. Seating is pretty tightly packed, almost uncomfortably. Met a nice couple seated next to us though. The Scallops appetizer was on point, cooked perfectly and the basically melted like butter in my mouth. Had the Lobster & Risotto for dinner and although cooked nicely there was very little lobster meat for the price. My son had the Prime Rib and it was excellently prepared and a larger than expected portion. The sour cream/horseradish sauce was perfect. Our server was excellent, even though it was super busy, she took excellent care of us. All in all I’d go back but I’d stay away from the Lobster Risotto .

It was the first time to dine at the Saltwater Grille in Galveston! We really enjoyed and were impressed with all aspects of the restaurant! It will definitely be one of our best rated places to eat in Galveston!

Service was great. I had the Chef Lobster Creation, which was just ok. The lobster and shrimp were good, but the risotto was mushy and crab cake mostly filler.

Excellent food. This was Christmas Eve so wait staff were doing the best they could. People in the party spirit were a lot louder than we would have liked but the food was so good it was easy to overlook the noise level.

Excellent menu, food delicious and prepared perfectly. Wine special nice touch with 1/2price bottles. Byron our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and noninvasive on us. Excellent service. Shrimp and scallops excellent. Just noisy as restaurant filled up. Hard to have quiet conversation when the restaurant is crowded. Overall good food, service. Fair pricing.

I had resisted this restaurant because I got it confused with “saltgrass” and thought it was part of the chain. When my neighbor recommended it, I decided to give it a try and found it to be an excellent choice with delicious food. I had had some dental issues, and my server, Dave, was very accommodating. In fact, he was just delightful and efficient. I don’t live in Galveston but I can assure you, I will be back!
