The Scott’s story began in 1976, with the opening of a simple gracious seafood dinner house in the Marina District of San Francisco. Its phenomenal success led to the opening of a new establishment in the heart of down town San Jose. From the moment it opened, Scott’s captured the best of a growing tradition presenting the finest seafood classically prepared in light, crisp, friendly surroundings.

Scott’s Seafood has been a San Jose tradition for over 40 years, with an emphasis on sustainable, healthy food options. Scott’s Seafood has won the People’s Choice Award for its Boston Style Clam Chowder several years running, reaffirming the consideration that goes in to crafting each meal.

Many of our staff members have been with the company for decades, and even have roots to the original Scott’s in San Francisco. Our culinary crew led by Executive Chef Alfonso Tamayo follows the same traditions & qualities established by the Original Scott’s.

Went to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and they sat us in the back of the restaurant filled with screaming kids. The restaurant was so loud and no ambiance. The server brought water and moldy and stale bread. The waiter did not ever come and greet us. We could not order even a drink and decided to leave and spend our evening at a different restaurant. So very disappointed. Wanted to try this restaurant since we never have been here before. Now we will never come back.

We had a business dinner here and the staff was very attentive and helpful. We got water and bread immediately as the wait staff took drink orders. We all had seafood entrees and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the signature seafood sauté with bread pudding for dessert.

This was the first time at the 'new' location which I found to be very nice, a good array of seating areas instead of one large room. The patio looked very nice as well though it was a bit chilly last night. The food was great ! Had dinner here before a show at SJ Civic which was very convenient.
