Shaw's Crab House is Chicagoland's Premier Seafood Restaurant. Reservations made for "Bar" seating will be for our casual Oyster Bar, reservations made for "Standard" seating will be in our more formal Main Dining Room and reservations made for our "Outdoor" will be on our patio.
All reservations are limited to 2 hours of dining.
Shaw's Crab House offers a unique dining experience focusing on seasonal fresh seafood, made to order sushi and our signature Alaskan King Crab Legs. Our reputation relies on quality ingredients prepared in a straight forward style, with crisp, professional service.

Food is always delicious at Shaw’s. Dean’s service was spectacular and always attentive to our needs. We had a great celebration and will always look forward to our next visit.

Kaylie was our server and she was amazing. Very kind and professional. Also, Jack who was helping Kaylie, is a great young man, and attentive. We appreciate all the staff. Great food, good wine selection that isn’t ridiculous prices, great ambiance the restaurant is decorated beautifully. I got the steak filets and lobster for around 60 dollars, comes with two filets and 2 little morsels of lobsters on top of them with hollandaise sauce. Underneath all that is a bed of asparagus. Not bad could have been more lobster for the price though. My gf got the seafood linguini which was great (I tried some). The only weird thing is for being named shaws crab house, not a lot of options for crab. The only option is a 100+ dollar king crab.

Seated by a service station and kept getting bumped into by wait staff. Our waiter was nice but his service was slow and he disappeared a lot. When he was in the area, he did not look our way to see if we needed anything. Food was good but not great, disappointing for the amount of money we spent. And they tacked a “restaurant chargers” onto our bill.

Seafood tower was disappointing as whether the economy or shrinkflation played into the lack of lobster tail size and missing crab legs but it wasn’t the same as previous years. The addition of a basic sushi roll to fill this once nicely stacked tower was disappointing. Drinks were good but service lacked detail.

Had to wait about 20 minutes past reservation time, but it was a very busy Valentine's Day early evening. Once seated, everything was great.

Shaw's on a Friday, Valentine's night was a decadent and delicious experience. The bar tenders here make the best French Martini. I love the crab cakes, grilled calamari, and the very generous seafood salad. For dessert, the pecan pie was thicker than most I have tasted and shareable for two. My only wish was that it was served with more fresh whipped cream. Overall, it was a lovely dinner out with my Valentine. Thank you Shaw's!
