We are a fresh breath of class and style in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Located in Southern Pines, we offer an atmosphere of relaxed elegance and sophistication, where steak is our specialty. We have an extensive wine cellar featuring 3500 bottles, 20 of which we are pouring by the glass. Please join us between 5pm and 6pm to receive $3 off all entrees and steaks.

Great experience. We have been there quite a few times. Service is top tier and the staff is very polite. The quality of food is superb. Will be returning soon.

The special Menu for Valentine's dinners was very diverse, with lots of variety. The Hot Garlic shrimp appetizer was served hot and was garlicky and spicy over cheesy grits. My wife had the Rack of Lamb special and I had the off-menu 8oz filet. The cook of the filet was perfect and hot throughout the whole meal. The seasoning was done just right and I enjoyed the flavor profile. The hot apple cobbler was the top off, well prepared, and very tasty! It was our first time there and will surely go again

We eat out often and are very often unimpressed. Southern Prime Steakhouse was the exception. The ambiance was impressive, the service was excellent and the food was beyond delicious. It was a limited menu that at first glance I thought would be an issue for this picky eater, but from the first bite of the bread and special butter all those thoughts disappeared. My cocktail, an espresso martini was the perfect start. The creme brulee was the perfect ending. My husband and I could not have been happier.

We love Southern Prime. Great ambiance, consistently great service and food and reasonable prices. Love the Bourbon and Berries cocktail and they always have a nice wine selection.

Generally we enjoyed our experience at Southern Prime. Little things that might be improved upon include: 1) Our server seemed to be in a hurry to get us through our courses. She was almost too efficient. 2) My wife found the lobster bisque to warm, not hot, and very thick and not much lobster in it. 3) Lobster rangoons were very tasty. 4. We both ordered the Ribeye Steaks, which were tender and done to perfection. 5. My wife found the Béarnaise Sauce to very salty. 6) My wife’s green beans were barely warm. My plate on the other hand was warm and delicious. 7) It was my wife’s birthday we were pleasantly surprised to get a very tasty Lava Cake. This was our first visit and we are looking forward to visiting again to try other menu items.

Extremely disappointed with our dinner experience tonight. We have always had wonderful dinner experiences previously. Tonight we had reservations to celebrate a birthday at 8pm, but upon arrival the hostess told us our table wasn’t ready because the couple before us was still having dinner. That was no problem and we asked her if we could wait at the bar until we were seated. She told us she would come get us when our table was ready. After 40 minutes at the bar, my husband went to check on our table. The hostess was nowhere to be found. A kind waitress went to look for a table for us and we were brought to the back where there were at least 10 open tables. The manager checked on the couple next to us (also hung out at the bar with a customer for awhile) but never came to check on us. It took 7 minutes for a waitress to come to us probably bc they were busy throughout the night and she wasn’t expecting us in her section. She was kind and I didn’t complain to her since it wasn’t her fault and the manager clearly wasn’t coming to help her or check on us. Nothing was said about my husband’s birthday probably bc we weren’t suppose to be seated with her and she didn’t know. I don’t think we will be back anytime soon.

If you're looking for a top notch, high quality restaurant with an excellent atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service, then Southern Prime Steakhouse is the one to choose. The menu is filled with many choices, not just steak. Our dining experience included starters of calamari and cheese tray and entrees of steak and salmon dinners, each one delicious! Wonderful wine and liquor choices as well. Our server, Isabel was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to make our evening special!! We will definitely return to try more food and drink selections! Highly recommend this fine establishment!!
