Our visit to Square 1682 on Sunday was very disappointing. Despite having a reservation and being seated promptly, the service was incredibly slow. Our server took orders from tables that arrived after us and didn’t get to us for a long time. When our drinks finally came, they were incorrect. We eventually left and found much better service at Marathon Grill down the block. Unfortunately, this experience left us unwilling to return.

The seating was a bit chaotic. The hostess was very nice but clearly a bit overwhelmed and forgot about seating us after asking us to go wait in the hotel lobby while they reset our table. Our order was taken pretty quickly but the wrong item was chosen for my meal (a different burger than I ordered). They did try to accommodate with a discount since it took over 10-15 minutes to have the right item brought out. I ordered a drink that never came as well but at least it was not on the bill. Service at the end slowed significantly and it took a while to get the bill so that we could get out of there.

The food was delicious and staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostess came over to check on how we were liking to food - particularly the octopus was delicious. And the manager Amex over and brought my daughter a complimentary cornbread (yummy) as my meal came out before hers. Would definitely go again.

The hosting staff at Square 1682 made every effort to accommodate an ever-changing number of guests for a Sunday brunch. We had guests from many corners of the world, and I was grateful we were welcomed. We enjoyed our brunch but mostly enjoyed the opportunity to be together. Thanks to all the staff, from the hostess to our servers.

Our party of 5 had a wonderful dining experience! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all apps and entrees. The drinks were delicious and our waiter was very attentive but also let us enjoy our own conversations. Only slight on our experience was a slower than anticipated bar service, would still recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

First time in Philly, and decided to Celebrate Wedding Anniversary here, The staff at Square 1682 made my wife and I feel exceptionally welcomed. Every detail of our experience was excellent, and our hostess Raven , ensured all of our requests were fulfilled at the highest level. Highly recommend for any occasion , the food and ambiance are a definite treat to the senses .
