The drinks were not up to par at all, no true flavor and when mentioned to the server he offered nothing else. The mole was not the real mole I am used to, however the pork was tasty. Chips and salsa were great. Valet took 1/2 hr to bring up the car after requesting, that’s way too long. One gentleman went to the garage with the valet attendant so he can get his own car.

Food was very good. Clearly home made. Fresh. Service was good but we were there on Valentine’s Day and the place was packed. I don’t know if that night they were short staffed or just too busy but it was a long wait for food. However food was good. Service was good and apologized. Offered free shots, which was kind, but we declined. I would absolutely go again b/c I think it was just an off night given how busy they were and the food was so good.

Our waitress wasn’t friendly at all and not very helpful. The shrimp dish was just ok, rice was mushy and overcooked. The enchiladas we had were not very flavorful. We sat down at 7:30 and our food came at 9. Everyone around us had their food and one table even left and new people sat down. We won’t be going back.

Our first visit to Talavera was great—the chicken breast was perfect. On our second visit, however, the same dish was chewy but still tasty. We ordered two and took some home, only to discover the next day that the chicken was raw in the middle! It was really disappointing, especially since the menu and staff are excellent. Quality control in the kitchen needs improvement. Because of this, we won’t be returning to Talavera, though we remain loyal customers of Koko, one of the group’s other restaurants.
