We visited to celebrate NYE and were excited to try the tomahawk steak and grilled octopus but were disappointed to learn they had sold out. We did feel a bit rushed to order, as it seemed like the kitchen was closing early for New Year’s. However, we trusted our waitress’s recommendations and are so glad we did! The short rib, branzino, and chile rellenos were exquisite. The atmosphere was lovely, the cucumber margaritas were top-notch, and the service was incredibly attentive. Ultimately, it wasn’t a big deal, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Food was very good, service was excellent. They charged me $2.50 for some extra jalapeño. Talk about petty! Guacamole appetizer was really small and buried in chips. This restaurant can do better. It has a great location. But why serve insects on the menu? Is that really a big seller? Seems like fajitas would do better. Just a suggestion.

Every time I visit Miami I come here and I bring my friends. The food is delicious, and Tamarinde Margarita is amazing.

Besides the chips and salsa, all food is very bland and not even mediocre. They automatically add a 20% service charge where I find it does not go to the waiter only restaurant. Drinks are incredibly overpriced, will mot be returning many better options in Miami even Coral Gables.

Our server was overwhelmed attending to many tables that in some instances she forgot about us! The portions are in the small side for the prices! Overall was good but honestly i dont think i will be going back . Another thing stop hiding the tip as “service charge” and expect more tips!

We went to Talavera Cocina to try out a different Mexican restaurant for a change. The atmosphere was great with plenty of hustle bustle and great energy. The food wasn’t terribly priced for what you got and the margaritas were delicious. Overall a nice experience and I look forward to returning. The tacos were unfortunately a bit small and were the same prince as the enchiladas which were about double the amount of food.
