Welcome to The Crown at Burchetts Green.

My aim has always been to offer beautiful food in an authentic English pub. Dishes that are heart-warming, seasonal, and packed with flavor. All I wanted was for our guests to return home happy and contented! This aim established our reputation and remains firmly in place today.

At The Crown, our hospitality will be based on exactly these principles - seasoned, I hope, with a pinch of added ambition in the kitchen. And on the floor front-of-house, you will be greeted and looked after by Amber Flint and her team.

    Great experience the menu was interesting and the food full of flavour and with reasonable pricing on the fixed price menu. A GREAT find.

    Another wonderful lunch at The Crown, with great choices on the Village Menu. The vegetarian options were both outstanding, especially the delicious and beautiful mushroom and onion tarte tatin. The petit fours were gorgeous too. Friendly, always a warm welcome and consistently superb food. We are very lucky to have this in walking distance from our house.

    We attended the Thai Supper night which is operated by a separate Thai chef. Most of the food was very good with the exception of the tuna dish which was far too spicy. Great service.

    Yet another great meal at The Crown, Burchetts Green. Our first visit was Sunday lunch, and this time we opted for their monthly Thai night, where we had a set menu of 5 courses. Amazing chicken, lemongrass and chilli soup, sweetcorn fritters, tuna carpaccio (that one was v spicy) and superb pork, rice and hispi cabbage, with a coconut and kafir lime ice cream to finish. Good value for the quality - and quantity - we received. We used to live in Singapore and this menu took us right back to the authentic thai from that country and our travels. Chef Dominic Chapman is the backbone of this country pub and he deserves high praise for what he and his team produce and serve. We will be going back!

    A good experience rather than a great experience. Main issue was that the menu was strikingly similar to the one we had on the last occasion many months ago. One portion of our venison was very tough but the staff responded to that in an exemplary way.. This is a great restaurant,so do keep ringing the changes on your menu.

    We always have a fabulous meal here and last night was no exception! We love the local ingredients and seasonal menus! The Crown is such a cosy place to eat, the staff are wonderful and always obliging! Holly even supplied me with hot honey and lemon as I was suffering with a sore throat! We will of course be back again! Happy Christmas! 🎄
