This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had while visiting Nova Scotia! We loved the ambience and the location. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was amazing; probably the best meal we’ve eaten on our trip! I highly recommend this restaurant this anyone coming to Halifax! It should definitely be on the “must do” list! 😁

We had a fabulous time. Our server Laura was simply outstanding making our night a total experience. It was my spouse’s birthday and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food is incredible. You can’t go wrong coming here!

This was our second visit and it did not live up to our first first experience in Feb of 2023. While the service remained impeccable, (thank you Mary!) the food quality was nowhere near our expectations. It was good but not great, the crab cakes tasted like store bought and are now deep fried instead of pan fried, oysters were ok and the beef in the main was served in large, hard to cut chunks with too much fat left on which left us feeling a bit disappointed. Dessert was outstanding and it was nice to finish the meal on a more positive note!

In high-end restaurants and even in mid-range restaurants, before the meal, they serve tasty homemade warm bread and salted butter, which would be a good savoury appetizer to start. I was expecting that, but the waitress said they do not complementary serving. Interior decoration! It was very boring and ordinary, I felt like I was in a pizzeria (booth seating 🙄). I was expecting carefully selected semi-classical comfortable furniture, warm and soft point lighting just above and around the tables. So that there can be some privacy. The colours chosen for this place neither the furniture nor the walls are good… for any restaurant. I think colours should not tire the eyes and mind, they might be some romantic and also whet the appetite. The music was also ordinary! I was expecting soft semi-classical instrumental music. The volume was not loud, it was good, but what was playing was not for dinner meither. The music with lyrics was distracting. The service staff was polite. Thank you for reading.
