The kitchen service was slow 1.5 hours at the table before the mains arrived , and when they did the prime rib was cold , they did take it back , but by that point as you can imagine the novelty of a nice dinner with the family had worn off thoroughly. The Keg in Pointe Claire has been a staple spot for many years for both family meals and also had been a reliable spot for business meals on a reasonable budget. I can say for sure I wont be willing to chance the experience again at this location again

The Keg Pointe Claire is a large nicely appointed restaurant. We arrived at 4 and were on our way out by 6. We did not feel rushed, the service was attentive and professional. The two of us sat in a lovely booth, as requested, which is much more private and quieter than being in the middle of the restaurant. We both ate the Classic Prime Rib, with twice baked potato, Keg Caesar salad, mushrooms and onions. My piece of meat(which was medium rare) I found chewy and when I was asked by the server I said so, which is unusual for me. The next time I looked up the restaurant manager was at my side and he swiftly took my plate and brought me back a completely new one, in less than 5 minutes. This time the meat was so tender it was amazing! We don't always find this level of service these days but I was very pleasantly surprised that someone actually listened to me and wanted me to have the best experience in their restaurant. BRAVO!!!!

I ordered the Top Sirloin medium rare , it was chewy and I have trouble cutting through it with a steak knife at some part of the steak. That was disappointing. The vegetables which came with the plate were good. Mushroom rice was bland but the steak was salty . I guess they canceled each other out.

There was a party of men next to us who were drunk and yelling. Very annoying but not the fault of the restaurant. Our server was awesome and the food was good.

The food was out of this world but best of all was the staff who were great. We were particularly impressed with our waiter, Louis M., who made our dining experience such a wonderful outing.

This was to be my first outing since double hip replacement. We had reservations for 4. It took 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, the waiter took our drink order … then the fire alarm sounded. No one budged. After 5 minutes of incessant ringing, we were asked to evacuate the restaurant. Strangely enough, the fire trucks were clear at the other end of Fairview. Lucille’s and Milestones were NOT evacuated. We stood in the cold for 1/2 hour before everyone started to leave. Someone advised everyone that they should leave because no one would be allowed back in. Strangely enough, there wasn’t a fire truck in sight at The Keg … not a fireman in sight … just the fire alarm ringing. Sad.
