The keg Richmond Hill is a perfect location to go to for any kind of dinner. This particular keg has been renovated, and the decor is fantastic. It’s a little on the dark side, but it’s still really nice and clean. I do not like their new Caesar salad crunchy bits that they have added. I feel that it takes away from the flavour and the taste of the Caesar salad. They have also increased the price of the keg classic dinners. But the portions remain the same. It was evident yesterday, that my plate was not as full as I would have liked it to be. The service was amazing, and the flavour of the food other than the Caesar salad was terrific.

I ordered the sirloin and lobster plate but when we received the bill I noticed that the lobster was charged separately, I assumed if the plate shows as sirloin and lobster in the menu, the price included both. Other than that everything was good.

The host mixed up waiting times. We came 20 mins earlier than our reservation at 7:45 pm. I was told they would call for us a few minutes before our time as we were early. No issue there. We waited and kept seeing people going in as it got closer to 8 pm and no word of my name so I followed up for a time check if how long it would be. Guy didn't been remember we checked in or we had been the only ones sitting at the front for a while and not changing as people came in. Very attentive to seat people who had no reservations in the lounge area though. I had to go ask again for a time check as he never got back to me. Then said sorry and asked for my name again, finally checked and the lady behind him said they had a mix up with the order of reservations and we were seated 5 mins later at 8:05 pm. Maybe they could look into getting reminders sent to the host that pop up if the time for the checked in person comes up it pops up to remind that they haven't been seated yet and if they still need to wait give them an update for further waits. Also first check in, first served a opposed to same time anyone goes in. Misa our sever made up for the upsetting reception and gave us a wonderful service and Misa was very knowledgeable about the menu. Our steak ordered medium rare was way under done and she sorted it out right away. Thanks to Misa we enjoyed ourselves after finally being seated and having our meal.

In the end we enjoyed ourselves but it took a while. We both ordered filet minion, one medium rare, one medium well. Unfortunately both came medium. Our server took them back and said they would be redone. The new steaks were perfect and we were impressed when the manager came over and apologized. He later returned and said the wine would be complimentary. So was a nice evening in the end, but the kitchen should watch what they are doing more closely.

The restaurant was busy but we had a reservation and was seated promptly. The waitress, Sally, was very friendly and explained the different cut of steaks to us. The food was delicious and portion size was huge.
