Just around the corner from Bath's Royal Crescent, The Marlborough Tavern combines the atmosphere of a local pub with the food quality you’d expect of a top restaurant. Two AA rosettes, and inclusions in The Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide bear testimony to the quality of both food and service. It’s no wonder it's won the Bath Gastropub of the Year title more than any competitors.

Food is essentially, though not slavishly, English in character and takes advantage of locally sourced produce wherever possible. Its food reputation is matched by their service - always friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and there's an extensive wine list and selection of local ales to choose from. The Marlborough's pub garden is arguably Bath’s finest; a walled courtyard space, that’s perfect for summertime lunching and drinking.

Jordan and Callum offer great friendly service. A great neighbourhood pub which welcomes everyone. Cask Ales kept to perfection.

We are local but haven't eaten at the Marlborough for a little while. Very good and friendly service. Not rushed but alert to needs which was great. Good beer and wine. Generally nice ambiance - music level and choice good. Food good. Thanks

It’s ok - not the best not the worst. Barking dog shortened our stay.

It's probably the best gastro pub in Bath. Staff were attentive and helpful. Food excellent. Ambiance buzzy, but didn't feel crowded and most importantly we were not rushed. You need to book to avoid disappointment.
