The Modern Pantry is housed in two Georgian buildings in St John’s Square, Clerkenwell. The larger of the two buildings was originally part of an adjacent steel foundry, while the other was a townhouse.

It offers a full service: everything from cocktails and canapés to lavish buffets, or even an intimate dinner with matching wines. On weekdays, our shop offers breakfast items in the morning and for lunch a delicious selection of salads, vegetarian, fish and meat options to take away or have delivered to your office or home.
Private party faciliteiten
Here you have the opportunity to share our home at The Modern Pantry & our beautiful Georgian Townhouse surroundings by choosing us as the destination for your private event. We have a fantastic range of stylish spaces available for your exclusive use; whether it is the Foundry Room for an intimate affair for up to 12 guests, the North Dining Room for up to 22, the South Dinning Room for up to 40 or use both together for up to 60 seated guests or up to 100 for a standing event. If you would like absolute exclusivity we welcome you to hire the entire townhouse. We went for the set lunch menu which was excellent value for money. We had the buttermilk chicken, catch of the day dish and the pumpkin tart to finish - all amazing, not a crumb left on the plate! Would definitely go back if we're back in the area

We essentially ended up with the place to ourselves! Which was a surprise but the food was delicious, the cocktails and wine were great and the service was warm and friendly. Lovely evening.

Very pretty venue with a nice a la carte menu. I chose this place for lunch because it claimed to be good for vegetarians but then their lunchtime set menu (good value) had no vegetarian options and when I asked they were unable to accommodate so had to order the more expensive a la carte.

A little gem hidden in clerkenwell. Food is outstanding. Great open space on too floor for business lunches although can be a little noisy!
