The Standard at The Smith House may very well be the best example of local Nashville flavor and service. The Standard Restaurant has been in operation since 2006 serving upscale Southern specialties complete with a full-service bar. Our townhouse was built in the 1840's and we are honored to be the current stewards of this fascinating work of architecture. We are located in the heart of Downtown Nashville, just blocks from the new Music City Convention Center and the famous Lower Broadway entertainment district. We are proud to offer some of the best steaks in town as well as fresh seafood and other items.

Our beautiful courtyard bar area is available with a dinner reservation for drinks before or after dinner.

Ambiance was amazing. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Food was incredible. Highly recommend this. I am from Nashville and this was my first time here. It might be my new favorite restaurant in all of Nashville.

Love the atmosphere! We sat in the bar. Food was good. Service was terrible. The bartender was our server, and it was a bad experience. We had to hunt him down for every single thing we needed. Unfortunately, not a great experience, so we won’t be back.

From the time we entered the restaurant till the time we left was an awesome experience. Great selection of cocktails. Real neat bar area with interesting decor / history. Our waiters Alan & Anthony were very attentive making sure we knew the menu & being sure we have an awesome experience. We were seated in their Maker Mark room. The Seabass was our choice of entrée. Great choice! Amazing! Special occassion so we did order dessert, large chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, baked and served in a small iron skillet . Delish! If you can’t tell by now, we thoroughly enjoyed The Standard!!!

The Standard is an original, classic, detail oriented supper club with a warm an inviting ambiance. The staff was amazing, each took pride in their position and task. We were treated as if we were long standing regulars. When in Nashville The Standard is a must!

First time visiting the Standard, good chance we will go again. The parking was convenient and made it very easy to get in and out of the restaurant and when downtown that is important. The food was great, service was great, and I do think it was a little pricey for the appetizers and desserts which seems to be the norm now for most better restaurants. The waiter and his assistant did a good job and did not rush us to finish, and we enjoyed that. If you haven't been i think its a must see place. Try it.
