The Swan in Chiswick dates back to 1871 but we are positively new occupants having only arrived in 2002.
We strive to keep the pub very much a pub while offering a Mediterranean-inspired menu that’s won many followers over the years.

We have a cosy fire for the winter and a wonderful garden for the summer – it truly feels like a hidden gem and well worth a visit.

Hopefully you can find everything you need to know here on the website but we’d much rather welcome you in person! Please feel free to get in touch – bookings are advisable for dining in the evening or weekend lunches – or just drop by for an early evening drink whenever you fancy. We hope to see you soon.

                                                        Despite having booked a week in advance we were given the nastiest table for two facing a wall and had to ask for an alternative table which is disappointing Secondly I asked for the vegetarian Sunday lunch without the Yorkshire pudding as I know it's cooked in goose fat the plate came with the Yorkshire pudding which I then mentioned to the waitress that I've asked for the meal without the Yorkshire pudding. They returned my plate which was half full of roast potatoes a total of nine.... which I then asked to be returned to the kitchen yet again so that I could have vegetables on my plate rather than just potato. The quantity of vegetables was minimal which is a shame one small scoop of mashed potato six roast potatoes and a few green leaves and a double spoon of carrots for my meal. We ordered the cheeseboard to share and there were four small pieces of cheese the largest being no bigger than 2 inches. All in all standards have slipped and I feel the biggest issue was being given the worst table in the house which was booked over a week ago. Was on a first date and was embarrassing to have to ask her another table send back the plate with the Yorkshire pudding and then send back the plate with the most ridiculous quantity of roast potatoes. It made me look like a complainer but who in their right mind eat nine roast potatoes??????

                                                        Local gastro pub which also happens to be our local. The pub has basically turned into a restaurant. Starters are £7-£14, main dishes are around £20-£25, deserts around £8. Starters and mains are excellent. Deserts lack finesse and imagination. Pub atmosphere. Very casual and relaxed. Friendly staff. Family friendly. Getting popular, so recommend you book in advance.

                                                        Everything was perfect. The black truffle and ricotta ravioli were River Cafe delicious. Excellent service and a warm, friendly vibe. Highly recommended.

                                                        Still the best pub food in Chiswick, has been consistently for more than 20 years. Nice relaxed atmosphere and good service. The hake was beautifully cooked and very tasty. Lovely evening.
