Set in a leafy residential area close to Richmond Park, The Victoria is a traditional public house and restaurant with a modern edge. Leading off from the cosy but spacious bar, The Victoria’s dining room is located in a bright and airy conservatory-style extension which overlooks a beautifully tended garden. During the day sunlight floods in, even on the darkest of days, while evening guests can dine with the stars as they twinkle over the beautiful candlelit room. With a varied and eclectic menu, The Victoria really does offer something for everyone with the best of British combining with touches of summery Mediterranean flavour, just a sprinkling of experimentation and all the skill of chef Paul Merrett and his team.

Fine food and service. My only concern was the quality of the prosecco. Great attentive table service. Hope to go back soon

We eat here fairly regularly, usually Sunday roasts, and without fail we always have a great experience, with excellent food, served by very friendly and helpful staff, in a comfortable environment. We will be back again.

Highly recommend The Victoria for Sunday lunch based on our experience today. Delicious food, great ambience and a fab team - special shout out to Shaun for finding us an extra space so another friend could join us and for the wine recommendation. Hope to return soon - maybe for the Thursday quiz night

This was Christmas lunch for four people. After a friendly welcome, there were no further attempt at making a welcoming atmosphere. The food was rather poor, despite a high price tag, with the first two courses going back more or less uneaten by any of us. The Christmas main dinner was rather dry and unexceptional, but acceptable. The waiting staff were teenagers who had little idea how to serve food. Somehow in the business of exiting I didn’t notice the 15% service charge that was imposed, which in retrospect I would have reduced. Overall, somewhat disappointing in terms of food and environment. We nevertheless had a nice time because we’re family together at Christmas.

I had a roast dinner - it was lamb leg. Unfortunately it was full of gristle and almost impossible to cut, let alone eat. We complained and were offered a free pudding which we didn't want, or £6.50 off the cost of that dish. I asked for a full refund which they did agree to as they themselves then tried that particular part of the joint and agreed it was inedible. The rest of the meal was perfectly fine.
